At the rate Minstrels are gaining OPness, this actually wouldn't be hard to believe in LOTRO. In the Moors, seeing a Minstrel vastly override the DPS intake from many creeps with huge heals is what turns the game from a decently fun time to a 'w.t.h. is this?' type thing. If 'Warspeech' won't revert back to how it was in the past (damage OR healing), then I propose another idea with 2 simple changes: Take away their ability to use a shield (make this a Captain-esque item instead), and restrict them to light armour rating (replace the corresponding redline trait that ups armour). These would make the Minstrel into a proper squishy class while maintaining its superior healing ability.

I don't know what you think a light shield and that armour trait do, but:
1) minstrels aren't getting blocks in the Ettenmoors. With reasonable gear (no might, no +block), what little chance they have to block is nullified by finesse.
2) The armour rating from their shield or their armour trait or both does not amount to much, a slight increase in common damage mitigation, and fairly insignificant increase to tactical mitigation (since only 20% of armour rating counts). The vast majority of creep damage is of the 'tactical' type (shadow, fire, poison).
Hell, as a former SoA tankstrel obsessed with staying sturdy, I don't even slot that rubbish armour trait.
What you suggest would make pretty much no difference whatsoever (edit: well, you could end up getting whacked by minstrels using two-handed weapons, and you wouldn't like that).

That is all.
Did you know that both healing classes on creepside have great survivability? Especially with maxed audacity.
Yeah, but from my experience, defilers hit softer than the soft petals of flowers which are actually not hitting you.
same goes with minis, its all crit based :P on npcs in foundry my regular hits are 600-700 damage :/

not our fault that you ignore the minis who are smart enough to stay in the back and dont stand out, or is grouped up with a healing class thats doing their job
Ssupermann: I hate minis, they have satellite lazers

This made me lol. Almost as good as that one minstrel that complained about being constantly interrupted.while throwing up a bolster.

On lucky days, my devastating hits are 600-700 damage. And minis crit regularly for 1-2k+. You were saying? You're actually the first person I've seen who has said that minis hit softly.

He also thinks minstrels are not OP in the least. I get many lols both in game and on the forums from him.

As I've told you before, you are (no offense), a horribly geared minstrel compared to some of the other ones on our server (AKA Doomsie, Iriella, etc.) yet you still hit fairly hard, and I can't come close to be beating you on my reaver. Haven't tried yet on my warg. Most minstrels that I fight against crit more often than not, thanks to uncapped stats that came with RoI.
Also, if you consider 600-700 damage per hit low, consider the defiler who does about 300-400. Try and play creepside a bit and fight some minstrels, then try and tell me they aren't OP.

I can think of several words to replace "smart" with. Suffice it to say that we would try and attack you if there weren't a zergling of hungry freeps in front of you. Oh, that and the fact that you have a flop, huge self heals, fears, and stuns.

I see what you did there. The connection between all your filmposters is the Restricted-rating and how it's worded.
They all require kids to bring a fully levelled/geared/traited tank with them to the cinema.
Nice catch
