So few ppl in vent lately. My friends list on steam is full of Skyrim and MW3 ppl. Anyway, just stopping in to say HI! If there is good action a lot of you creepies know how to get ahold of me on steam so let me know....otherwise back to killing dragon.

PS It (a dragon) died right outside my house. It was fun watching town ppl run while on fire.

Skyrim is so epicsauce! I've killed like 5 or 6 dragons so far, have full elven armour (exquisite) with dual elven daggers and an elven bow (also both exquisite). I play as a stealthy Imperial and it's sooo awesome! I'll upload some screenies to this thread later

It's fun . I'm only on my third dragon... can't get em to land for me. I should totally lay off the game for a bit though, I'm getting behind on my work :[. I'm playing a conjurer with archery and stealth skills. Totally just wielding whatever I feel like whacking monsters with.

Yeah I've gone duel wielding light armor with sneakz. I keep getting caught up exploring and havent really done much for the main story lol.

my kajiit has dual elven daggers and an elven bow all exquisite as well but uses the darkbrotherhood armor set(and switches to thieves guild helm,jester armor for selling) stealth+dual wield is just a bit to op when u get that 30x damage multiplier it is almost always a 1-shot. i still haven't tried to actually fight any dragons yet since i keep rerolling trying something new almost everyday lol.its amazing how much better that game runs on my pos computer then lotro does even though im not even close to skyrims min specs and my computer default is very high for lotro and usually play on very low lol

Also check out Skyrim Nexus for some great mods, already some superb texture upgrade on there - eg night sky, bodies, faces, blood etc

This is my character, one sexy Imperial!
The armour I am wearing is the full set of Flawless Scaled Armour. I DID have a full set of Exquisite Elven Armour, but I sold it because this armour has better stats... even if the helmet looks pathetic.
I'm still using the Dual Exquisite Elven Daggers, but I replaced my Exquisite Elven Bow with a Superior Ebony Bow.

This screenshot was taken in the town of Morthal which is in the region of Hjaalmarch (Northern Skyrim)... and conveniently I had a dead Dragon there too! I think from now on we can only post screenshots with dead Dragons in them. Also you get +100 Ushpoints if you post a screenshot of a dead Dragon in a really wierd/funny spot.

My redguard is from south-central Redguardia and dualwields elven daggers with fire enchant and an elven bow.
My sneak is 100, so I can HiPS now too. The dragons will be QQing about how OP I am on the Skyrim forums any second now.

So far I've been disciplined and not slaughtered entire towns in their sleep like I did in Oblivion. Oh, I'm a werewolf too. Power attacking a bear in beast mode is lawlers like you wouldn't believe. I knocked one like 1000 feet in the air yesterday.

This game sounds like a lot of fun. If I wasn't so into BF3 right now I'd get it for my PS3. I will get it eventually though. It sounds a lot like Fallout 3 which was ridiculously fun.

#1 dont go console - PC always has great player mods
#2 made by the same ppl who make fallout but i've always thought the elderscrolls were way better then teh fallouts.

You use them to create and upgrade Dragonscale (Light) or Dragonplate (Heavy) Armour once you get a smithing skill of 100 and get the Dragon Armour perk.

Yeah its for armor at 100 smithing. Heavy armor looks freaking terribad, and Daedric is better stats if you can get the hearts. Light looks decent.

If they do that's good for people who don't have the choice of the pc version ...Still a modded pc skyrim looks 100% times better consoles shaders can't handle looking like this.

Haha it's so good Lugbur! You must get it ASAP! But still play LotRO too! I'm still playing LotRO aswell of course, I just play Skyrim when there's nothing out on LotRO. Hope to see you in game soon buddy!

Yes I saw that mod, looked great but when I installed it it sort of screwed over my resolution, everything appeared to be a much lower resolution.

Am I doing something wrong? Is that FXAA mod meant to be used in conjunction with the Anti-alias filter and sharpen mod?

At the moment the only mods I have are Detailed Faces, Detailed Bodies, Dragon Texture Pack,
Enhanced Blood, Enhanced Night Skyrim, Hi-Res Road Signs, No More Blocky Faces, Skyrim Sunglare and the one that adds a clock on the loading screens (because EVERYONE loses track of the time while playing Skyrim).

Haven't had any problems so far except one - loading into cells and NPC's not having faces/bodies and sometimes the wall textures don't show up and I see right through them.
Haha just going to delete my textures folder and install those mods all over.

But I'd love to get that FXAA mod working... it should work for me as I have a Sapphire HD5770 Vapor-X graphics card, shouldn't be any troubles there!

Also, for anyone who hasn't done so yet, tweak your .ini file! The game can be made a lot better just through a few, easy .ini file tweaks! Google it!

Ahh ya you need the newer version 1.3 that has Fxaa disabled and just use regular AA like x2-x8.Fxaa is overated and is a system hog turn it off in game options use Fsaa instead.The newer Inj Fx 1.3 has a self installer and 4 presets depending on what you want.I was never happy with either and u can change the settings easy in the settings file I used slight sharpen and saturation.

Just download 1.3 and install it in its own folder like on your desktop one(folder) for each preset and one for you game folder then just swap the settings file to choose each preset.Only your game folder needs the full mod in the other folders just keep the injFX_settings file delete the rest.Compare the presets and you can edit one to your liking just back up you in game one in case you forget your default settings

Ok cut and compressed so it lost some detail but,it shows the color and detail gain by the mod both are the exact same settings if you need any help with your profile ...if you edit it send me a PM..I love to mod and will be making some mods for skyrim soon as they fix the SDK

My profile is subtle I didn't like the over color of the mod it looked cartoonish I also darkened it some and sharpened it .All done with the stock shader engine ....looks like a high rez texture pack tho! I didn't notice any performance drop

Anyone have tips for maintaining a follower? I had Lydia on my first character for awhile, couldn't have been happier. A pack-mule that fights, and not only fights, but after upgrading her to the first 2h Orc hammer I found (I'm still like, lvl15 on my highest level guy), she would run around crushing guys in 3 hits or so, playing Expert. Anyways, I did the ... 2nd thieves guild mission, where you swim to the island to play with beehives, and I got some hilarious, but strange spawn issues where we wouldn't zone in and end up in the same place, and I simply never found her again, though I did come upon a pile of dead skeevers at one point.

TL : DR -- Do followers return to somewhere if you lose them, or am I going to have to go back to the island and just Beast-form the livin' daylights out of them until I find her?

I'm still at the point where you run when you see dragons. It works out alright, and you can go back and loot the charred corpses of all the native wildlife for leather

I'm not sure, but I bought a house in that first area, whiterun, and whenever I tell Lydia to part ways and then I go to my house, she'll be in it.

i got sick of waiting on her to catch up with me when i was trying to climb the mountain to get to the greybeards (reminds me of the old captain dwarf heralds or hatchlings 3.0 lol) so i ended up just sticking her at at a crafting area then fill her up with all the ore/ingots she can carry and just making her stay there after needing to use a console code to find her since she somehow managed to clip through the mountain when i was trying to climb up.

a cheap tactic for dealing with companions is get a companion that can also be used as a trainer. then train as much as u can then go into the companions inventory and take your gold back

Next time I fast-travelled, I got a message she was tired of waiting. Did a few more quests, went home to dump loot, and she was sitting in a chair. I guess I was being impatient ha.

lol thats funny i actually did just end up killing her. she kept getting in the way of my arrows and dying, so id have to reload and do #### over. after a while i was like... ok guess she can die of she really wants to lol. shes goldtagging my xp anyway :P

Followers are best left at home their AI path finding is shoddy at best.When the CS is fixed I may try a summon follower ring mod giving them a ring and when you put yours on it summons them.I know what to do just need a working CS so I can make the esp file."getting them safely to appear without getting stuck in rocks etc will be the hard part" Until then use them at your own discretion they tend to get lost.

I'm using Preset 2 at the moment because I don't like the sharpen effect, I think it looks odd in-game and it also makes some of my menu text look grainy if I'm not scrolled over it.

Yes I was the same way not sure why but, they over did the sharpen making it look grainy.I tweaked my settings file for a custom preset just adding a "tad" of sharpen which gave more detail in the textures without the grainy effect.Also by editing the tone map in the settings file controls the color and brightness (saturation) controls color mines set at 1.0 atm.And Gamma for brightness for me the game looks better just a little darker.

Feel free to edit the settings file and tinker with the preset removing the // at the top will enable/disable effects then just alter the variables.The cool thing is you can enable/disable by simply pressing pause "in game" for easy comparison.Another cool feature is when you take a screenshot with this mod on it gives u a moded SS and a vanilla one.After you mess with it some you will get a good grasp of what the options do allowing you to really fine tune it to you liking its a great mod!.

Just backup your setting preset your happy with in case you forget the default setting.Also this mod isn't just for Skyrim from what I understand it "should" work in any drx 9 based game. Although I haven't tested it on other games but,its worth a try.

Yes I'm afraid that Skyrim is an epic illness that is consuming most of our lives. I, myself, am unfortunately unable to play for the next week and a half because I had to go vistit family for stupid thanksgiving.

However, when I left 2 days ago, I was a level 51 Nord Battle-Axe wieldin mofo with Legendary status Dragon Armour. I've killed about 25 dragons now, and I'm playing on master difficulty.

Here's a vid of me in action...however I recommend you either mute this one or play epic music over it, because my audio came out kind of wonky.



This dragon actually attacked riverwood, and ate two people before I killed it.

Additionally, I'm also a werewolf, and I made a vid for that as well.

Those glitches happen a lot with the vanilla version. How much ram do you have in your computer? If you have more than 3, I'd recommend this mod: http://skyrimnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=202

It makes Skyrim use more than the X amount of ram it was using before. This mod effectively ended pretty much all crashes to desktop as well as texture popping/whackout errors I was having.
