What lvl did you start to pvp? Yes I know you can go there at 40 but you will explode in seconds. 65 before ROI and now 75. I know that I will die alot but I want to exp all that this game has to offer.
I first went in at 40, killed a reaver but got killed by a warg.
In the sea without lees standeth the Bird of Hermes. When all his feathers be from him gone, He standeth still here as a stone.
Here is now both white and red, And all so the stone to quicken the dead
The Bird of Hermes is my name, Eating my wings to make me tame.
Lol, always a win post. The first time I started pvping tho was lvl 40... tho that was back in SoA nd the freeps that I was with sent afk messages back when they worked (wtb afk messages back :P) to the creeps saying they werent gonna help if they killled me, so they did and I came back at 46 lolz. When I finally got 50 tho, I made myself known mmmm.
Right now, you should just wait till 75 tho, as long as I'm on creep, then come out at 40 .
Within the first few months of the game when I hit 42 I went out there on my burg and stayed there for a couple of weeks at 42, lol. Then I forced myself to stop having fun pvping and get to 50 so I could have even more fun in the moors.
Really depends on your gear. However I'd say 70+. I've seen skilled freeps put up a fight already at 65 and unskilled not being able to fight at 75. Generally if you have less than 4-5K health on a champ then you're going to get targetted fast. Best advice would probably be to go at one time with someone who is regularly in Ettens. That way you get an idea of how the map is, a bit of experience and you get to see whether or not you can manage. At the start you will get some deaths regardless of lvl, mainly due to being new and not knowing what to watch for.
Duskdancer, warg: If found please return to Gwairin, lvl 65 hunter in Evernight
Dawnsinger, warg: Currently working as police dog in Moors with the Angmar Inquisition
Thanks everyone for your advice. My kin leader is a warg and he suggested I go now. LOL!! He wants to pick his teeth with my bones!! LOL!! I think I will lvl up and find some mates to go pvping .
Yeah I started PvPing in my early 40s back in May 2007 i guess. I would not advise you to do the same now. Level to 75 and gear up. Then you might be fine.
Vincent van Port "Held der fliegenden Feder" R13 before 2013!
Collector of superb posts.
First time I did PvMP was back when i was 63 (pre RoI) and after RoI I waited till i was 75.
It actually just depends on your gear and how your are traited...but its always fun to go out at 40, run with some 75s and kill greenie reavers. You are excellent bait
One thing that you could do is, make a creep and start playing while you lvl your champ. That way you know the map and how creeps fight (tacics, target calling and how they would attack a champ). This has helped me a lot, cause you understand both sides of the war and can plan accordingly...(just watch out, some people dont like if you "switch" sides, but I wouldnt worry about that)

Tugorn 75 Guardian, Mozlung rank 5 Warg, and some other low level characters
Every other character - level 40, and revisiting every couple days to get demolished for 30 minutes to give me incentive to level. It's a huge motivation boost for me to level by going out there too early getting stomped on by players I know I can beat at level cap.
i started pvp as soon as i hit 40 and i still go out there all the time and im not even 65 yet let alone 75 haha im a 52 cappy atm and i do pretty well out there i have about 12 solo kills and im rank 4 but if you hate being trolled dont go out. i get yelled at by a lot of people but man the creeps sure do love me lol
I believe my first ever PvMP experience was level 46 on my minstrel back in December of 2007. Looking back, I still can't quite make out what my first impression of the whole map was compared to how well I know it now. I just remember running up to Gramsfoot and then getting one shot at the TR rez shortly thereafter.

Cheers!!
Took Pibb to moors as level 40 and as long as you avoid the front and for ranked creeps the side, which isn't easy (use trees alot) you can get away with making rank 1 solo as a burg.
Took champ to moors as level 48 or 50 can't remember now (pre-Moria) and got run out of Grothum by a defiler. LOL
Took hunter to moors as level 50 post Moria for GV camp on Brandywine (bad idea - spider dots and BA dots)
I wouldn't recommend anyone who isn't a burg going into the moors below level 70/72 especially a hunter, even if you're grouped.
Pre-RoI R8 warg Brandywine R7 BA Brandywine R5 WL Brandywine R5 Warg Landroval R6 warg Vilya R5 BA Vilya
Level 50 under SoA. Was very odd to go from PvE to PvP. What an eye-opener the first time a warg took my hind-end off!
Dont go out without really good gear and at least level 70. And if you are medium or light armor, expect to be chain grey-barred by drive-by hoods called Wargs.
I make it a habit to take all my toons to the moors and get all the locations as soon as I hit 40. After that, it's really what I feel like. I've spent time running my 40 rk through the moors and having a blast and my kin also had a night where we got 6-8 of our lvl 40ish toons and went into the moors. I think that everyone should at least peek their heads into the moors at 40, just so they can aspire to become stronger :P.
