I just ran Draigoch (successfully) for the first time today, and I learned from people who have run it a lot more than I have that there are many bugs with the encounter involving lore-masters.
The raid leads instructed me to never use my pets or sticky gourd, because apparently if any part of Draigoch aggroes either a pet or a sticky gourd patch, he bugs out and can't be reset.
This sucks, obviously, because it cuts down on a lot of LM utility and DPS. I'm not sure how bad the bugs are or how easy it is to avoid them, but even so, it'd be nice to hear a response from developers on the issues and whether or not we can expect a fix soon.
I'm interested in hearing about workarounds from other lore-masters who have run the encounter successfully. What triggers the bugs specifically?
From my personal experience with Draigoch, I've always traited DPS/ISG and have had no problems with any bugs here. I remain pet-less during the entire fight though.
The biggest thing my kin finds is that you limit the number of CJ attempts when Draigoch falls to the ground... max of two attempts whether they are successful or not.
Hmm, luckily never encountered any lore-master bugs myself. I cannot remember if I've been using ISG, but I've always been running with my pet for the whole fight. I don't know about the aggro-on-pet-bug-out thing, because I don't think my pet ever got aggro. If these bugs exist, you'd say one should be able to prevent them by not sending your pet in as first and not using ISG before a DPS class has touched your target.
The only bug I've had involves burglars who try to get positional damage on claws, get stuck behind invisible walls and die because they could not get heals. Luckily we've always been able to rez them afterwards while sortly being out of combat.

Draigoch usually bugs when the Head targets someone/something out of his reach for a very long period or if you dont restart the instance after a wipe. That could be the healer of lower level, an lm pet, an rk stone, a captain etc. I have personally killed Draigoch several times with 2 rk stones and 3 lm pets out and had no bugs at all for pretty since the instance release.
From my experience tanking the head, it ends up being the tanks fault if he doesnt get aggro of the head quickly.
In my personal experience, we've had Draigoch bug out in two ways:
Somehow , he bugged out when coming back up to the wall to face us. No CJs were used just before he flew up, but we had LM pets out. He was up on the wall, but the head and paws were inactive, the body was still targetable, only the bog guardian could reach though, if anyone else tried they'd die like normal if you try to enter the middle room when he's up against the wall.
Another way was having a CJ triggered just as he was about to fly up (we believe).
I've ALWAYS ran ISG in this instance, never a problem with it, in fact, all threat coming from ISG or the pool goes to YOU, the LM. The Sticky Gourd is NOT a seperate thing which can draw aggro on its own or even targetted, it is directly linked to you.
How would it get aggro anyways? The initial damage is far greater than the dots it gives, and as you can see when you're fighting any mob the initial damage still counts as 'your mighty blow' while the hotspot counts as 'the sticky gourd'. The only way I can think of is throwing ISG too fast so the initial damage misses, and having nothing damage him for 4 seconds so the first DoT hits, and there's some error in redirecting the aggro to you so it bugs. If this can even happen your raid probably wouldn't've made it anyway...
