Thread: @Orion concerning Glory traits and exalted Combatant in EM

I'm just curious if this works as intended. I'm trying some new stuff out for EM and one of 'em is to trait glory while staying in dps gear. In EM at the moment multiple times I've dropped below 1.5k morale (which is lower than 20% of my max morale) yet Exalted Combatant does not activate... and it's not like I haven't given it time to activate. I've used bubbles while on and below 1k and it doesn't activate.. I hope you could take a look at this and maybe fix it with update 5 cause it seems to be a viable option to solo multiple enemies and surviving it

I hope you could give me an answer here please Orion

EDIT: Just adding some details, when I fight creeps it usually does not activate, when I fight npc's it usually does activate when I fight both I have to be lucky to have it activated seems like something is wrong, hence the post

It work only when you are skilled in blue line with capstone and in glory (it's made only for tanking mate)

I am in glory.. stated that above, traited glory and in glory Stance, I just dps with it with dps gear, not traits, so it should still work, yet it barely does, like on 1/10 occasions...

I trait 5 blues and use glory, I always get it pop at low health. What I do find that often bugs out is True Heroics. It sometimes activates the skills cooldown but doesn't activate the actual bubble effect. Bugs of Isengard really worked out nicely.

I have also had it not activate several times. It's sorta weird, seems buggy.

The glory and ardour versions of True Heroics need to hit enemies to give you the bubble because they are generating bonus aggro (glory) or a root (ardour). If you miss, you won't get the bubble. The fervour bubble does not affect enemies and therefore you will always get the bubble. I would like the bubble to activate regardless of the root/taunt being resisted or missing.

Yes happened to me a lot of times when using glory non stop. I have not tested it long enough to give a 100% sure answer but I believe that after it being used you get that cool down icon.. if you die, the icon disappears... However I believe that the cool down is still there even after the defeat. But as I said, I have not tested it so it might be wrong. Other assumption is that when you die with the Exalted Combatant Cooldown Icon and then when you retreat and use glory, there might be some bug and not activate the passive skill so once you are under 20% morale it does not activate as it assumes that the skill is not activated?... not sure...

so far my solution to the problem:
I usually go 4 blues 2 reds and 1 yellow (sometimes 5 blues/2 reds) in moors and I go in fervour. I change to glory at ~1.4k morale or so, that way I get insta heal no matter what, never happened that I didn't get heal that way.

it's a pain in .... that there is completely no tooltip or anything mentioning about exalted combatant in game... Actually most champions probably still don't know something like that exists. I asked more than a few champs about if they know how exactly does the exalted combatant works, about 60-70% knew something like that existed, probably around 25% of them knew more less how it works but with no deeper understanding... the reminding ~30% had no idea something like that exists at all... The only people who know something like Exalted Combatant exists are those who read dev diaries or who either found out from their friends or by themselves while using glory. But you cannot find anything, not a single word in game about the Exalted Combatant :/

So far as I know it's a blue line passive skill which you need to have at least blue traits. Heals you for ~2000-3000 morale but could be scaled according to your morale. Heals only when you drop to ~15-20% of the max morale. Most likely doesn't work while you are stunned (!! need to confirm that one !!). 1 min cd with full pve set - otherwise 1,5 min

i've also been in glory, have it not fire under 1500 morale, site there for a second, then i thought maybe swap into fervour and back into glory. When i popped back into glory, exalted combatant fired instantly since i was still under that threshold.


Thats's not a workable solution, but it might help someone with more knowledge understand the problem.

It does work when you're stunned. When I initially brought this up, someone mentioned it was a chance to proc when you use skills... however, there is so little known about the 'actual' functionality skill, aside from healing you 'most' of the time when you're at a certain morale threshold. Maybe we'll get past the 'beta' stages of Exalted Combatant come U5.

I've had it active 3 times in a row as soon as it was off "cool down" traited 4 blues and 3 reds ./shurg on the note of true heroics; my true heroics also failed to fire off in the same fight as my exulted combatant went 3 times. That and getting stunned while using sudden defense...if you aren't going to give me the bubble....stop using my cool down.

As someone already said in this thread, if you use True heroics in glory or ardour, make sure you have mobs/creeps just next to you. If you wont debuff any mob (ardour) or if you wont aggro buff any of them (Glory) the true heroics will not give you any bubble/buffs. It will be a plain skill just as it is when using without a stance

It's good to know that it works when you are stunned
