I try to make a Sword of Theodred.
I use 3 journal 3 weaponsmith lore scrolls 5 sigils
I get none crit with 63% crit (25% to start plus 25% from journal plus 12.5% from lore scroll)
The result; i blow 5 sigils 1gold 400 silvers to the wind
So what is the point trying to lvl our crit chances?
This is the way dice based systems work. There is never any guarantee you will get the result you want. A 63% chance means that out of 1,000 attempts 630 or so will be succeed. There is a reasonable chance you will see FFFFFFFFFF somewhere in the sequence. If you are he person getting 10 fails in a row - it sucks.
Unless stated otherwise, all content in this post is My Personal Opinion.
Yeah, I used my helegrod scrolls to add another 9% to my chances, and then proceeded to fail six books in a row. On top of the five I failed the day before. I've crit every pocket item I've made for everyone else, and I'll be darned that I can't make one for myself!
It was 1 use rep recipe that cost 470s something and there is not guild recipe.
There is a guild recipe. It is sold by the Improved Recipes NPC for 72s. Requires Westfold Weaponsmith capability and Master of the Guild standing.
