I´m an artisan and i still dont know what are the flowers for.
I asked in the Advice chat and they told me that scholars could use them to make dye. But i asked an schola friend and she told me that it is not true. Scholars can only make a dye with "special" flowers, the ones you get when you are famring and you have a critic.
So, i´ve decided that the best way to know for sure what are the flowers for was askgin here... Could someone tell what are they worth?

There are some recipes to make potted arrangements of certain flowers. I don't recall what they all are, but I think Iris was one of them and the recipe was available at the Spring (?) Festival.
The flowers can be used by farmers to make pots of flower for Housing Decorations. You can get a couple of the lower lvl recipes from the Expert Farmer at the field. Higher lvl recipes can be bartered for with rep, or purchased during festivals.

I have all thew recipes i´ve been able to buy till artisan, and i dont have any to use the flowers... Wich are the ones that you can buy from the expert?
Really though, the crit items for Dyes are probably why most people will grow flowers. My list is old (and might be little out-dated), but will give you an idea...

Well thanks, i´ve been doing some flowers... and i got nothing (although i only made 12 of each)
If i made a lot of them i guess i´ll get those scholar stuff... but, are they worht for me, if i sell them in the AH, will i get more money than the one i´ve spent while farming?
Some flowers are also necessary to make dyes. Check your scholar recipes. The "bonus" items that drop when grinding flowers are what's required. vendor the flowers, use the crit items.
You really won't make any money selling the regular flowers on the Auction House (sorry for the late response)
If you sell the flowers back to the vendor you will make back your cost (for seed, water, crit dirt and repairs) plus a little profit. I generally plant 30 fields and have a 10-20% crit return (Of course, if the random number generator hates me, that % goes down. If it is a lucky night, it can go up too!)
Thalia, for Reacher
Bubbie, for posterity
Glyndis, because I needed an elf
Nah... i decided long ago that i will keep farming vegetables, they are useful, and my cook uses them, so why would i grow flowers just for critics to sell in the AH?
I guess that if some scholar asks me to grow them (rare, because scholars are farmers too) i will, but at the moment, i stoped farming them.
Hi - depending on server, but yes you'll make good money on farm scholar crits - especially juicy strawberries (sold one recently for 500s) and Bluebottle/Lilly-of-the-Valley/Armaranth petals.
But, unless you're levelling Farming, you're best bet is to keep with the core sellers (barleys, leeks and carrots are all very good AH sellers).

Really? How much do the Barley's and such go for on your AH?
Winter Barley is needed for a lot of tier IV-VI recipes. It's not essential, but close. Probably the best thing to farm, whether you are farming for profit or pleasure (cooking).
