What I would like to see
Are some high level
Raid tokens (Hope tokens),
Dps buff consumables (like the anniversary ones),
End-game food items, and
New consumables like defensive buff ones for us tanky types.
Food / consumable buffs are one of the most underrated features in LotRO and
I find myself dropping a ton of money on them. Also, more trainable instuments like
Xylophones or trombones would be a nice little frill item in lotteries to
Expand the multitude of things to do in between raids.
Seems as though there haven't been any new frill items in a while.
Medallions used to be a regular lottery item, so I would like to see some stacks of Gold & Silver Anduin Tokens.
Unhatched Spider Eggs.
Stat Tomes
Scrolls of Greater Empowerment
Draigoch Scales
Adorned Scroll Case
+5000 Enhanced Reputation Supply scrolls
Task Reset tokens
+1 Daily Task Limit tokens
Turbine Point acorns
Video of a Dev being flogged (you get to pick the Dev)
"For them to perceive the advantage of defeating the enemy, they must also have their rewards." ~Sun Tzu
The stupid perk buffs you occasionally get (5% run speed out of combat for 30 minutes????) take up bag space, destiny points do not.
I want my destiny points back!
Oooh, off topc gimme a barter trader who will accept those stupid buffs you don't want (such as the one above) and give you destiny points so you can get the buffs you actually WANT instead.
I'd like to see Seals awarded through the lottery.
Seals make a regular appearance in the "Lottery of Angrenost", the highest level repeating lottery. Just have to level up a bit more and you'll be able to try for them.
% Off Store Purchase coupons
Scrolls of (Gtr) Empowerment
Task Reset tokens
+1 Daily Task Limit tokens
Level appropriate medallions (Enedwaith, RoI, Moria, Loth, etc.. prior to that do the major class quest items)
Rare crafting recipes (talking cosmetics, not just single use)
Housing items
Exclusive items are always the best, something that people can be showing off next year and they try for new stuff.
Fluffstuff (fireworks, wine, pie etc.) is fine
Consumables for the level range are great
Cosmetics (uuuuiiiiiiii *G*)
Dye !!!!
Silver (Could even be a little bit more in the lower levels..)
Travel maps (pretty please)
Skirmish point thingys
Main: Tirnolwe of The Lost Companions, Laurelin (75LM)
Alts: Silithil (75CHP) Campion (75GRD) Alunadail (75MIN) Geirdis (75CP) Turbine no plans to fix MyLotro.
Random 'vender trash' items that can be used for tasks would be kinda cool, nice little extra thing to throw in there. Only problem I could see is that with the level ranges, not everyone in the range might be able to use those task items.
A majority of the desirable items are already in the lottery, however many of them that have a numerical value are a bit lacking.
For example, cash - make it 10 gold. Seals, give us 200/300, the same with shards etc
Seconding the suggestion for some additional postman badges. Give us a shot at winning some horses. Or, as an alternative (though not sure that's possible) TPs would be quite sweet.
The LOTRO Lotteries are almost here. As we continue to test the system and prepare for the return of regularly scheduled lotteries, we have one simple question:
If you were the lottery master, what would you put in the lottery?
It's a simple question and the sky's the limit. Mostly. There is one limit that even the lottery master can't get around. We cannot put account level items into the lottery. So things like shared storage, character slots, quest packs, etc. aren't possible, but most other things are!
Let's hear what you think should be in the LOTRO Lotteries!
Travel maps are always nice though I tend to put them into kinstorage. My concern with them is they seem to be heading to the xprune stage of "HOW MANY TYPES ARE THERE" and there do seem to be some that arent linked with bog standard stable points.
Postie badges were something I was half expecting to see during the anniversary as we got picks prior to if not during the treasure hunt event.
Seals do appear and could be bumped in quantity a wee bit, not to the extent of 200+ a win as it would trivialise the currency for people that have multiple high level alts. Could easily double the winning amounts without affecting the barter economy too much.
My biggest thing to be put into the lottery is a clock so that the tastier items dont appear almost exclusively in the timezones of the americas (north and south) when the rest of the globe is at work or asleep.
Other thing would be rep items/tokens for the more grindy factions such as lossoth or council of north, not the wardens/bree/shire as you can easily quest your rep up. Rarer cosmetics or the class specific skill books like LM pets or mini's mentoring would be nice to see.
Possibly even new skills for certain classes.
Different Quests
Mounts (of course)
Weapons (Depending on class again)
Armour (Class)
Skirmish Traits
Turbine Points
I was delighted to win a Cloak of the Autumn Wood in a lottery over the weekend. I heartily approve of cosmetics in lotteries, especially the store-only ones.
I like getting the maps to Moria on my character in that level range. It makes it much easier to take her out to do other things without having to worry about how to get back.
