Thread: What would you put in the LOTRO Lottery?

The LOTRO Lotteries are almost here. As we continue to test the system and prepare for the return of regularly scheduled lotteries, we have one simple question:

If you were the lottery master, what would you put in the lottery?

It's a simple question and the sky's the limit. Mostly. There is one limit that even the lottery master can't get around. We cannot put account level items into the lottery. So things like shared storage, character slots, quest packs, etc. aren't possible, but most other things are!

Turbine Points!

Goodies for creeps and unique housing/outfit items.

In no particular order:

Mounts
stacks of a certain missing LI scroll
Cosmetics/Housing Items
Misc enhancer items (eg: skirmish mark boosters, revive tomes, etc)
Tomes
TP as a last resort.

The new sigils. 300+ ore and no sigils...

Level 75 legendary weapons/items based on class sounds pretty nice to me.

I always liked the horses and cosmetics are great. Did we ever have a goat?

Now character store items - additional milestones, hurried traveler - that would be nice.

Maybe as taste for the new items like the 20% quest xp or the additional rep.

I prefer a RoI legendary code and a lifetime code. But 3000 TP are good to buy the path of the fellowship. I need MORIA to go to Isengard.

Also, fused relics, cosmetics/dyes (dyes especially, given the large number of cosmetics to use them on in ROI from side-quest rewards), stat tomes, morale pots (the high lvl ones from the store), high-level class items (a small set of all the kinds).

Store items need a common appearance... Pots, tomes, LI scrolls, store relics, mounts, etc. (the things we can't technically get in game within reason).

I think lotteries from the past have been generous and it seems almost everything was given away in one form or another.

As for account items... could a code not be emailed?

TP seems to be a safe bet so people could choose their own reward.

Hmmmm good question. Lets see....

Of course anything is pretty win, free stuff!

My favorite lotteries are for:

*Store-only items. Especially ones I didn't know about but that are cool or that seem out of my price range.
*Hard-to-get items from the game. Moors barter items, rare crafting items, egg of the mistress barter item, etc.

And I always love to get money and/or skirmish marks with my lottery. It's like fries with my burger!

Two specific ones that I'd think were awesome:
1. All four of the store-only horses in one lottery. (I'm sure I wouldn't win, but what if I did!)
2. All of the housing decoration barter items from an instance or instance cluster that is significantly below the max level (e.g. all of the Angmar housing items, all of the DN housing items, etc.).

lvl 75 raid armour based on class. stuff from the store. lvl 50 class quest items.

free or a discount on a world transfer for one character would be nice, but its a premimum service, so.....

Additional milestone skills would be pretty cool, but I would think that if you put the Milestone II skill in the lottery, anyone who had purchased Milestone II from the store wouldn't be able to use it. OTOH, people who had purchased Milestones III to whatever the max is would be able to use it as long as they hadn't purchased Milestone II...

Sincere Turbine Apology - "We, the development team and/or the community relations team, sincerely apologize for any nerf, slight, inconvenience, secret conspiracy to promote the LOTRO store or other mis-deed real or imagined that you, the player, perceive." Make that a housing item and we are good to go. Make it tradeable and all is forgiven.

I'd like to have a chance to win things that I ordinarily wouldn't be able to get as a solo player, such as Superior Third and Fourth Marks.

Raw T7 mats would be really helpful right now. I know they'll eventually be easy to get, but right now they're really rare because of all the competition.

especially a lot of greater scrolls of delving would be nice since they can only be acquired with 6.6k shards atm.... which is INSANE!!!! :P

The lottery can't make items that aren't in the game, it can only hand out existing items.

A lot of good ideas in this thread already, some we've done in the past and some I think we can definitely accommodate in the future. Keep 'em coming!

Definitely should have some big lottos to honor the return of them.

Content. In any way possible. Legendary RoI codes for starters

Also, epic lots of skirm marks, heritage runes, etc.

Level 50 class quest items.

And, possibly, some skirmish mark type things.
