I just completed T7 metalsmith proficiency to be able to craft crit armor but I am very disappointed with the lack of morale on them (not only crafted, all ROI pieces I got so far seem to be like that). I'm currently at 68 and none of pieces I can craft for that level (i got helm and boots recipes) looks significantly better than teal quest rewards I got from epic pre-ROI questline. Sure, they have more might and vitality but ALOT less agility and practically no morale. Even with higher vitality on new pieces, my toon is losing morale when wearing them.
Is this the same for crafted gear post 70? In OP stance I was hovering slightly above 7k morale pre-ROI. With new pieces I am like 6.8k. Where is the logic in that?
One day, Overpower will be raid-viable dps stance!
The devs have reduced the variety of stats on most of the ROI gear but made the stats on the gear larger. There is no Will on any of the new crafted heavy armor pieces in ROI (there is some raw power on some pieces but that's all). There is some raw morale on some pieces but less than we're used to in the past. My guard is just about to reach level 70 and I'm really scratching my head on what gear to go with from 70 to 75.
For the time being I'm still using mostly the level 60 Durin's Guard armor set from Moria with a couple of quest reward pieces from earlier in Volume 3 and mostly crafted level 60 and 65 jewelry. So far I haven't been having any nasty problems working through the ROI quests but I think I'm about to start needing to add some Finesse to make it through the 70-75 levels. I'm tempted to park my guard for a while when I reach 70 and bring my metalsmith and jeweller through to get the level 70 gear recipies (the level 70 gear recipies are reputation gated, they do not drop from landscape mobs. I'll have to earn Dunland rep on each crafting toon to get those recipies).
