Massive server wide lag on Snowbourn
There seems to be a server wide lag on Snowbourn. I was wondering if Turbine is working on sorting this out. Instances are unplayable and even players just doing quests in wide open areas are suffering because of this. An update on this please Blues

Re: Massive server wide lag on Snowbourn
I sent a ticket and got a generic 'We will investigate, but can't tell you anything' reply and then they closed the ticket.
It's been lagging for at least 2 hours now

Re: Massive server wide lag on Snowbourn
Havent really noticed much lag tbh, the usual in Galtrev but nothin out of the ordinary, its typical that there will be lag in built up areas. Plus the strain on the servers due to higher volumes of numbers may also add to the fact.

Aye, been finding this on and off all day - at good times it feels just laggy, at bad times takes about 10s to get an NPC to respond to you :S

Re: Massive server wide lag on Snowbourn
It's horrible

I've just been running a couple of lowbies around Michel Delving - Cook's Guild & AH doors have several seconds lag, as do mail & AH searching. (The cook vendor seemed ok.) Along with the odd error popping up

Re: Massive server wide lag on Snowbourn
I am experience equal lag. Even got the awareness icon poping up in the tailors guild hall. Please do something about it.
At this time, most of the server population might even welcome an hour long server restart.

Re: Massive server wide lag on Snowbourn
Since yesterdag i also experience other problems aswell.
Sometimes the game screen just freezes and can't do anything but to restart my pc. Sometimes works fine for period of 2-3 hrs, sometimes it occurs after 15 min.
Also lag is problem as mentioned is this thread.
But other people have same problem aswell ? 'screen freezes'

OK I must fully agree to this thread , recently , when I have come back to the game, and with a whole new rig with GPX card with DDR5 ram 2gig, and 2 gig normal ram DDR3 and a very good DSL connection 7.5 mb and when im running in Dx9 and ultra-low in ToO I get such bad lag I can barely move , I don't know if it is my local area connection or what, but so many people are complaining about the lag in lotro, I think it must be Turbine have outdated servers, , If you look at EvE Online and CCP they update their hardware all the time and overhaul their entire system , if Turbine would only do the same and upgrade their servers mabey all this might change?
just some thoughts

Perhaps You have an ATI/AMD card just like me. Sell it
I have never any problem with nVidia, but a lot with ATI. And my kinmates also agree this, LOTRO and ATI is not a best friends. Try turn to Dx9, some ppl say that is stable in ati, too. I bought my new card for better performance with better view, so I think I will sell and buy nVidia. Last time after my display driver crashed I was in Dx9, so you got crash as well but I got back the game view and not black screen like in dx10/dx11.

You could be on to something.... I also heard anyone replacing his 5 year old ATI card by a recent Nvidia card is getting better performance so Nvidia must be better!!!

Have to agree. I don't often get lag because ok computer + fibre optic broadband, but this weekend was awful. The big creep freep fight at Lug GY was a joke. On my defiler it was taking 5 seconds before an attack even started induction. Strangely enough heals were quicker. Every time I tried to lob a gourd I was told the opponent was too far away by the time it started up. There just to be just a few peak lag spots on the map (sort of like the Bermuda Triangle) but it seems to have spread all over.

awful again...
Thanx to all creep friends and freeps who were online yesterday....Both sides have to admit that the fight in CG room in TR was simply a joke....lol.... we were all in there having skill lags 10+ sec noone was getting defeated for minutes....Is there a turbine god watching us from above realising what a mess there is on servers....? oh and btw ... In our tribe we had peeps from the USA...They said that they had the same horrible lag so i guess distance doesn t make any difference. TURBINE (once again) FIX THE BLOODY SERVERS !!!

Don't know if it's just me, but could barely move at all yesterday. Logged on for like five minutes before it got unbearable and I logged for the day...
