Thread: Meneldor Raid Progression: Draigoch

Hello Community,

Here is our server's progression thread. Hoping to see more kin in Draigoch than past raids. This is for the new Raid: Draigoch

When you reply, please include Tier and whether challenge. If you like, you can include number of players. Since this is a weekly lock, please include the week lock date it happened on (they are Thursdays).

- CM: Discovered and unlocked all 12 CJs (regardless of whether you defeated Draigoch)
- Tier 1: Defeated Draigoch on T1 (had at least 13 players)
- Tier 2: Defeated Draigoch on T2 (had no more than 12 players)
- Tier 2 CM: Defeated Draigoch with no more than 12 players and completed all the CJs

*The first one merely completed the deed. The other three spawn different loot tiers.

Hi Caspian, I want to document correctly I wasn't quite following...you got CM last week but T2 this week? This would mean you got T2 CM last week right?

no, we did the challenge last raid week on 10/11 (get all CJs done properly). we did the actual t2 kill this last weekend (sunday 10/16)

to reiterate, you can actually get challenge credit (in the deed log for raids) by doing the CJs, then you have to kill draigoch in t1 or t2 mode to finish the kill deed off. so the challenge is for the cjs to be done 9it updates the second you finish the last cj NOT when he dies). i hope this makes more sense, it is late at night and i am over tired lol

Hey Caspian,

Aye, I understand how the mechanic works. I was just trying to understand if you got T2 and CM on the same night this past week where the Tier 3 loot chests spawn. I have updated the OP to clarify the tracker and added a bullet to recognize folks that did the CM deed regardless of tier. I wanted to preserve the CM T2 for the defeat in T2 while getting all 12 CJs and spawning the tier 3 loot chests.

Gratz on the take-down. Sorry about the delay in responding, it was heaving last few days for me and the Inks were in there for their first attempt last night.

21-22 October: Helm's Deep has completed Challenge Mode, though we have not yet defeated Draigoch.

11th Hour has completed Draigoch T2 CM on 10/22/2011.

22 October: Helm's Deep has completed Tier 2 + Challenge.

Oct 22nd, Eleventh Hour completed T2+Ch on the first try of their first attempt ever.

also, 1st successful pug draigoch on meneldor was tonight as well.

Wouldn't that be a PuK instead of a pug? A group of the top raiding kins just doesn't have that 10 failed conjunctions, 40 deaths from firebreath, and hearing "Im back" 20 minutes into the fight, or "I'm back" after you just explained the fight feel.

The point is that there were only 4 people from my kin when the group started... after advertising in GLFF (making sure who we chose is raid ready) We started inviting a couple of people, they invited there kin members.. out of the entire raid only 5 people have downed it prior. So I guess you can call it PuK, but it was only by coincidence that only 4 different kins were involved.

If a person cant hit a color in the right order, they should not be in the PuG to start out with, or be booted from raid after a couple tries and fails.

the pug was definitely a pug. it was advertised in glff, consisted of several non English language primary speakers as well, and had 16 deaths to the fire before we even began

pfft you dont need to hear anything for this fight unless you are on your guard of course. if you are in the dps group it is pretty easy to follow around the marked dps target assist

Yeah, been trying to pug it myself, getting closer each day. I have a feeling about this weekend. We did boot the guy for dying 40 times just getting down the hallway to draigoch.

Plus Stry is like 2 people by himself, sometimes 3
