Thread: Last Day of VIP Moors.

We must make it epic. Make it happen.

Well I will be here (at least till I have to be at work) ..... sick days maybe ;P

I completely agree, especially since it seems so many freeps will be on hiatus. In my case, I have a month to earn 83k renown, so I'll skip the leveling and focus on that. Hopefully players will be PvPing as well at the release of RoI.

Lets make some good battles today!

There is nothing epic in the moors except epic fail plus flavor of the year (we are long past month) classes.

It's a going away party I won't miss.

For better or for worse, love it or hate it, today's Moors will be gone forever after today.
I hope everyone who can, will log on and send it off in style!

Went out to experience the last VIP day of the moors.

A few great 1v1s, a few not so great 1v1s (looking at you, Z. Next time just run away w/o bothering to fight ).

Looked like the raid scene was hopping. Here's to you, fellow VIPers, hopefully we'll see each other on the ROI flip side!

Cheers all, I plan to try to make it out there at some time tonight. We are looking towards a hazy future, but there is always a small glimmer of light to follow.

Also, maybe we'll end up helping each other level and bumping into each other in the new zone... Always hilarious when pvp folk take over pve ooc.

(Note):forget the lies, it might just be a lot easier to eat the money and buy a new card if you get a bad card.. almost three months from burnout to replacement.. onboard graphics as a stopgap SUCKS.

@ Wallee and the other assorted creeps that were out and about early evening yesterday...

I WISH I had Fraps up when you guys brought out the troll... The freep group I was leading was laughing so hard we couldn't organize in Lugs. We were THRILLED to see it. Way to be!

The fights were pretty good, some good pushes, nice last stands and blitzing around inside TA. Lots of fun guys, thanks a bunch.

Please note: the Ettenmoors does have a maximum population cap and entry is on a ‘first come, first served’ basis.

From the official release notes. Does that just impact F2Pers entering the moors?

yeah linkage. I have searched the whole site and can't find any release notes.. They've always put them up when servers are shut down for an expansion so we have something to read while we wait. Apparently they are "somewhere" ?

We may get priority somehow, but it can effect us as well. I know when we hit the population cap in the F2P beta testing you couldn't get in regardless of your account type until someone else left.

Side note - I'm a bit worried about the update notes. I've only scanned over them, but the creepside section looks a bit sparse...

That would be total BS, seems like they really are tryin to get rid of VIP players.

We pay a monthly fee, it should only apply to f2p players.

None of the creep class updates seem to be included in the notes -- I wouldn't fret.

great fun with the raid last night! TA and LC saw some epic clashes between the creeps and freeps, that's certain. Awesome way to spend RoI-eve.

So the truth comes out. The reason for the persistent neglect to the Moors over the last 4+ years now makes perfect sense, as many of us expected. They neglected PvMP because their hardware simply couldn't sustain masses of players embracing that style of gameplay.

"First-come, first-serve basis" could be an utter disaster for the zone if Creep/Freep population swings go unchecked.

Due to Turbine's historical propensity for lack of foresight in such matters, I would not assume there are specific population caps for each side.
