Khazad-gold nodes are really easy to find, they are everywhere from moria upwards. As a result, demand for this is usually very low. I would be very surprised if you get 8g for a stack, though you might be lucky on the Auction House if nobody else under-cuts you.
Khazad-copper is another story, and you can outlevel the areas with the nodes too quickly, so if you're wanting to make money off prospecting, try that instead.
