Hearing word of a lively musical concert at Thornley's Worksite back in July, Farmer Pierson did not want to be outdone, and so has invited the Songburrow Strollers to perform over at his farm, south of Bree, where he has a little gazebo set in an orchard, ideal for the event.
Therefore the Songburrow Strollers are pleased to announce the fourth concert in their Breelands tour. It will be held at Gazebo next to Pierson's Farm, just south of Bree, on Sunday 18th September, where the usual mix of old and new songs will be performed for the enjoyment of tall and short folk alike.
Prior to the concert there will be a short gathering at the farm itself, where food and drink will be served, after which the concert will begin!
Folks of all shapes and sizes are welcome to attend, although tall folk should be polite enough to stand at the back so as not to block the views of the little folk.

Re: [EVENT] Songburrow Strollers Concert at Pierson's Farm - 18 September
Benevolent Bobbins mentioned to me that this is a concert not to forget!
A grumpy dwarf called Disli will be in attendance too (please do forgive Ben's invite!)
Disli wrote to Benevolent...
"I would cordially invite all of my kinsmen to this event, for such a distraction only hobbits can portray, the wonders of leisure and poetry in the depths of decay"
Benevolent Bobbins profusely apologises for the usual Dwarvish grumpiness, and then thinks that he must eat a Strawberry pie...

A rare behind the scenes look of the Songburrow Strollers after they are discovered at a secret rehearsal by a group of curious Hobbits. We kept yer secret a secret!
"If this hobbit goes with you, you will succeed. If not, you will fail.
A foresight is on me, and I am warning you."
Re: [EVENT] Songburrow Strollers Concert at Pierson's Farm - 18 September
It was a grand night indeed! Well, for them musicians, at least, I hope we didn't bore the rest of yer...
It was grand to see so many of yer there, and thank yer kindly everyone who have posted images from the night! A few more can be found back here.
It is quite a fine farm master Pierson's got himself, and that apple orchard made us feel right at home. Hence we played a few songs from the Shire. Here's one of them:
The sheepdog known as Ruff
In Brockenborings there is a dog who is scrawny and small and scarred
But all the sheep on the Greenfields feel so much safer when he's on guard
He plays with children, he chases wolves, he's brave and he's kindly and tough
Oh, in all of the Shire, there's no-one quite like the sheepdog known as Ruff
Oh, in all of the Shire, there's no-one quite like the sheepdog known as Ruff
When Ruff was born, his brothers laughed, for he was small as a pea
But when he fought them he bit them all, his siblings soon had to flee
He's sly as a fox, he opens locks, he eats his pies with a puff
Oh, in all of the Shire, there's no-one quite like the sheepdog known as Ruff
Oh, in all of the Shire, there's no-one quite like the sheepdog known as Ruff
One summer day as the flowers bloomed a dog moved in next door
A lovely lass with a shiny coat, her spirits started to soar
For through the fence a dog came over, he barked and he strutted his stuff
Oh, in all of the Shire, there's no-one quite like the sheepdog known as Ruff
Oh, in all of the Shire, there's no-one quite like the sheepdog known as Ruff
So if you ever go north and pass through the lovely fields of green
Look out for dogs who are small and kind and with coats of a scrawny sheen
They play with children, they chase the wolves, the locals just can't get enough
Of the many pups all fathered by the sheepdog known as Ruff
Oh, in all of the Shire, there's no-one quite like the sheepdog known as Ruff
((Best sung to the tune of The Fair Maid of Islington))
