I've chosen Yeoman on my Loremaster mainly because I do'nt like straying from my path just to mine some ore or chop some wood. My crafting experience is very limited (tier 2) and I have no idea whether or not it's necessary to collect the many Taters, Raspberries, Salads, ... I stumble upon across the world.
Are they of any use? Can I not simply grow my own fields of Taters, Raspberries and Salads?

It may not be useful to track these crops, but it can also find indigo/woad plants and other dye materials that are only available on the landscape and cannot currently be farmed.

this. even if you don't have a scholar alt, you can sell them at the AH for a pretty nice amount (currently around 150-200s at riddermark)
Thanks for the response everyone. One mroe skill I can drop from my hotbars then. Eleventythirty to go
I place some floating skill bars on top of my screen, near the minimap, for toggle skills like Trackings.
Saves a lot of space on my actual skillbars. And it just seems reasonable to have a tracking skill be next to the map.
