I'm old player who's returned for a bit and is playing brand new characters. Now I had a metalsmith back before I left the first time around so I know all about the crafting quests, Will of the Iron being the chain for Metalsmiths.
Now I noticed there is no quest for the beginning level anymore, but I can't find the quest for Tier 2 (killing a shade in fields of fornost if memory serves.) I've checked all the bestowers and even gone direct to Glasi, but no luck. Anyone got any ideas or is it a /bug?
They took all of the quests out, besides the one quest to unlock the Superior version of your crafting station. You just roll right into the next level of crafting now.
If that's the case then it must be bugged for me. Because even though it's opened the expert tier it hasn't opened the "master" proficiency for Journeyman. Unless anyone else can offer any insight I'll be raising a ticket tonight to try and get it sorted. Cheers.
Have you doublechecked that you have actually completely mastered the Apprentice tier? You have to master all previous tiers before being able to master a new.
You find that you have a tier proficient. Plus no master tier open. Then you have a problem.
Some legacy characters did not get converted correctly when the new crafting changes went into effect. If your character is one of these bugged characters. You will have to put in a ticket to the Game Masters to get your character fixed.
Be sure the explain the problem in carefully so they do not automatically close it. The Game Masters are buried under work. They are going to look for the lowest time solution to resolving your ticket. Which is a close ticket with a short unhelpful answer without even talking to you.
Note: If you do not have access to the Game Masters because of your account status. I do not not how you resolve this issue. You could try to put in a web ticket to the Game Masters. I do not know if this one of the few support activities that are given to people that are not currently spending dollars.
In this case, you might have to change vocations twice to reset your metal smith profession so that you can start over with tier 1.
