I've scoured the forums and how-to threads but I can't seem to find what I'm doing wrong. I created a folder called Plugins in the Lord of the Rings Online folder in My Documents. I extracted the Turbine-created files that seem to be necessary to that folder and I've installed some other plugins into that folder. When I type /plugins list I get a list of all the plugins in there but when I try to load them, it says "Unable to load plugin xxx" I used to be able to load plugin manager but it wouldn't load anything else. Now plugin manager says it has loaded but doesn't pop up. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm really excited about using some of the cool plugins I've seen around.
Thanks

When you use "/plugins list" are the plugins you installed listed? If not, then you most likely installed them in the wrong path - there are two "Lord of the Rings" folders, one under your documents, the other under Program Files. Plugins go under the one in your documents folder (the exact path varies slightly depending on OS). If you are not sure, then take a screenshot in game and look for the Screenshot00001.jpg file that is created, the folder where you find the screenshot is where your "Plugins" folder should be created. You then have to extract the plugins into the Plugins folder - my recommendation would be to carefully read the threads on the download pages for each plugin as some authors zip up their plugins with non-standard paths and may require additional folders created/removed.
If you are still having trouble, you should consider Lunarwater's LoTRO Plugin Compendium application (you should consider it anyway as it makes updates all that much simpler). This application will automatically download and decompress most of the popular plugins and is available for Windows clients or Max/Linux, eliminating the guesswork as to paths. http://www.lotrointerface.com/downlo...ompendium.html (windows) http://www.lotrointerface.com/downlo...mMacLinux.html (Mac/Linux)
If the plugins were listed when you used "/plugins list" but are not loading, then they are installed in the correct paths (well, at least their .plugin files are in the correct path) and you have some other error occuring. Make sure your chat filters have the "Error" channel enabled and try loading a plugin and make note of any additional error messages that are displayed. Read the comments on the download page for the plugin to see if other users have already encountered and resolved the same problem.
