Cool thread,
Before I 1v1:
If I'm needing some motivation, roughly the first 2 minutes puts me in a devious mood

And when I need a laugh, cause its the most ridiculous song I've ever come across (especially at the 0:50 part of the vid):

Why so many posts right after me? You guys can't post anything out of the blue? Anyways, I've noticed how many cool Primus songs never make it here. There's a reason for that lol. Not many to be had. Here's a few from Frizzle Fry. This is their only album that I own. This is no coincidence. The vocals totally suck, but the music is genius. Kinda like how Rush's vocals totally suck, but the music is the only thing that saves them. Enjoy, maggots!

Here's a few random tunes I decided to link as a testament as to who we were when they hit radio play. These are for those of us who wish to feel nostalgic. Can you pinpoint exactly where you were and what you were doing at the exact time you heard these tunes for the first time? I know I can. This was the best two summers any young man could ask for. I was on a personal mission of conquest of all blondes I ever came across thanks to the chick in this first video. Thank God for loose blondes. Enjoy, maggots!

I love you for your posts, among other reasons. You always post the greatest music from days long gone.
I wish I had the time and patience to convert all my old cassettes, I have boxes full of great music that I can't listen to and your posts are always a painful reminder of that. Sad.
Guess I will contribute some that came to mind...
I'm cheating. Four below. Technically way more since one is a full album.
And for nostalgia purposes, something that won't likely mean a thing to anyone but made me giggle to remember...

Well. It's about godam time bonnie makes a meaningful contributon to this thread. About damn time you other guys did, too. I remember the 80's punk band days quite well. I recall all that music surrounding me while in my skater days. Only ST and Slayer still hold a place in my heart. All the others associated with skating can go straight to hell imo. Their music had no soul. Their music had "valley girls", who hated their parents and had ZERO a$$, jumping up and down with no rythym. These bands were the whitest of white guys and never heard real music before. While you guys were blasting this garbage and trying to make yourselves look cool on the concrete, I was humming these tunes in my head while I skated around with technical prowess. We all have scarred-up knees, though. I will always share that bond with all who skated before it was on TV. Enjoy, maggots! These are not your typical skating tunes. Punk needs soul. White girls still need more a$$. Remember them days not so long ago when white chicks had dude bodies? I always tended to lean toward the hispanic and black chicks as a direct result of this. Hell, I was unknowingly part of a scandal when I decided to date a black chick in high school. Apparently, we were the first couple to do so in my high school. It was kinda wierd when the shock of us acting naturally had such an impact on the lives of others. But we both kinda got off on the fact that it was taboo. Her dad absolutely hated my guts lmao. It must have been a sight. My longhaired headbanger a$$ with the denim jacket and all the cool band patches sewn onto it and the smokin hot-chocolate chick on my arm. I will remember her every day til the day I die. This is for you, Patrice. You were my first.

It was a saying among the members of Janitors Against Apartheid and the title of the first demo they made.
Happened to be looking for some of the locals I used to love and ended up spotting a couple things from these guys. They were just a silly bunch of dudes. Fun thinking back on all the local shows at pizza joints and bowling allies.
And Flesh, you talk to much (coming from me that's a pretty major slam, dude) and spent too much time hanging around poseurs.

Back to basics. Back to what matters. I love the sound of a conquered people. Their rage and passion make the hairs on the back of my neck stand up. We are the same. We all are a conquered people, in a sense. No matter what flag you fly, currency will always trump freedom. In order to achieve true freedom, one must wish it upon every creature upon this Earth. Dawg! it's frackin HOT! and nothing beats the summer heat like a cold brew paired with some tunes (and your lady friend) so here's a quick selection of brews and tunes to pair them with.
Budweiser Chelada...beer with Tomato and Clam Juice makes the perfect pairing with this song by Tankard called Puke
Sun Ra-Where Pathways Meet...paired with Midnight Sun TREAT Imperial Chocolate Pumpkin Porter...this is for those of you in a smokey basement that somehow is home to a jazz crew
Toby Keith-Red Solo Cup...pair with Pabst Blue Ribbon (PBR). PBR is retro cool nowa days, it's nothing fancy, low brow, and cheap...great choice for a party.

I love the smell of critters sizzling on my fire. I love the smoke and fat which bathes me in an inferno. My only wish in life is to die at the hands of a huge beast which, in turn, puts me on it's grill. I want my smoke and fat to engulf my destroyer. It will be the best meal it has ever had. It will tell it's offspring how succulent and satisfactory my carcass was. There will be cave paintings depicting how awesome of a meal I was. They will pass down my bones to their children. A thousand years will pass and there will still be parts of me which are fought over by my slayer's descendants. There will not be enough of me to pass around. They will symbolically ingest me in order to gain my power. I will forever be idolized on a cheap computer chair. Welcome to Catholisism, maggots! Here's a few songs to grill to. It kinda makes you step back and look at things in a different light. Funny how we get all philisophical over a flaming carcass.

I am so glad that I live in the south. Every night I get a free concert. Especially after it rains. Here's to all them critters out there playing a song just for me when I put one of your buddies on my grill. Your friend would not taste the same without you. Here are a few tunes we humans devised to sound like you. It is nowhere near the same, but it is a start. The sound of night is gospel to me. These are best played at night.

Neighbors just got back from the islands. They went there on vacation to see their pops. They brought me back the customary jerk spice. Only I can grill like their grandparents did. The pops was deported about a year ago. His ol lady wears less and less each time she knocks on my door. She only comes when my ol lady's car aint in the driveway. I want to stick it so bad. Kinda hard when his cousins are everywhere in my town. They would totally shoot my cracker &&&. My ol lady would provide the ammo. One of these days I'm gonna stick it. She's too fine to worry about a mariage. I wanna make a half-cracker kid who speaks in the island accent. That kid would learn to grill from me by these tunes...

This thread has been continually inspiring me to delve back into the music of my youth. Here's some things that have graced my ears lately.
Something dirty which completely does not fit at all with the next two selections making my taste and youth look as bizarre as it was.
A little jungle boogie. Discovered a lot of old mixes are still online and tracked this one down on youtube, since it's one of the few I could actually name. I'm amazed the sites still even still exist in the same format they did so many years ago.
I remember hearing this live at the Warfield (I think) back in the early 90s. Serious eargasm.

Dude, I'm not ancient like in my 40's or anything, I'm 37. :P Thing is I know about Pendulum (had them on my ipod at one point) and other electronic acts, I even like mindless DnB when lifting weights, it just doesn't move me otherwise. Punk has never died, just went back underground where it belongs.

[edit] whoa I never listened to that new pendulum stuff, c*ck rock metal power chords don't make you rebellious, but what do I know. Music is subjective. I thought their old stuff was more rebel like:
