    Looking for Grouping/Raiding mentors

I am in a small kinship that I like very much; however, because of that there are not that many high level characters in it. I haven't really done any group content and I'm now I'm at the point where I want to start trying some of it. I'm looking for a person or group of people that would be willing to teach/mentor me on the aspects of grouping/raiding. If anyone would be willing to help a poor guy out I would appreciate it very much.

My character's name is Melchalglas and he is a 65 Rune-keeper.

    Re: Looking for Grouping/Raiding mentors

What works is running a lot of instances. I ran many GB and GA runs at lvl 30 and I've learned so much from this, both healing and DPS (RK too).

The way I do it... I announce myself in LFF or GLFF and see if they're looking for people. I respond to almost every call, RK's are quite popular and I can easily find groups to keep myself in constant runs for days.

I have been in great groups, running thru all three GB's and GA Fortress in no time at all and I've been in less great groups struggling to get thru GB the maze. At times I've picked my nose healing and at times I've worn out a keyboard and mouse keeping everyone (well, most people) alive. It's all good fun and I love it.

Just... do it and learn along the way, there is no better way. In preparation you can read about the instances everywhere, just google them and already know what will happen.

    Good luck!

Edit: if you like the people, by all means, stick with your kin!

Yeah, I just didn't want to get into an instance and blow it for people when I'm just trying to learn. But I suppose that is part of the learning process. I just thought it might be better to get with a group who knows I am trying to learn and won't get angry if we wipe

I could give you a hand if you catch me online. In-game I'm Dyme or Ashle.

I can take you through most of the easier instances, you should hold off on thing slike Lost temple T2 for a while. Did you finish your class quest in Moria yet?

Not yet no. I need to run the 16th Hall for that I believe? I was looking to run Annuminas as well as the 65 gear set is best for DPS. But yeah, whatever instances are the best for teaching some grouping concepts would be best for me. I've been focusing on DPS as I have been soloing basically everything so learning healing with a RK would be beneficial.

No, it's not. A combination of Moria or DN and Rider's Leggings, Weathered Hill Mantle shoulders is. Unless of course you have OD T2 or the pvp gear. As for instances, start with GS or Sch/Lib or something else easy that everyone does all the time. Since you can pretty much be as terrible or stupid as you want in those instances it's a good place to start if your worried about messing something up.
