Thread: Completionist Tracker (All deeds, titles, virtues, mounts)

I have been working for a while on a "Completionist Tracker" containing all deeds, virtues, titles and mounts (so far) in-game and the first non-beta release is ready.

As the name says, this is a Completionist Tracker for those, who want to keep track of what they have completed and what they are missing of deeds/virtues/titles/mounts. I wanted to make this since I found it increasingly difficult to keep track of anything with the poor in-game logs (especially the Deed Log).

It includes deeds such as hidden, consumption, festival, meta, epic and classes/vocations/races are taken into consideration.

If others can find use for it as well, it's only a plus :)

Please note:

• It is not a plugin
• It does not pull info from the game automatically
• It is currently only available in Open Office Calc format (3.2.1+). Open Office is a free open source suite very similar to MS Office.
• It does not contain Monster player content

• Mounts/Reputation: Fixed name of “Prized Mahogany Bay” steed to “Mahogany Bay”
• Mounts/Reputation: Removed greyed-out areas since they were bugged and some can be bought in store regardless of reputation.
• Emotes: Fixed an error allowing any value to be entered in the white cells.
• Emotes: Fixed notes on all emote deeds.

Hi. Thanks for making this, I haven't downloaded it yet but would like to ask a question.

How does this thing work if it doesn't pull information from the game? Where is it getting its data from?


And a question for the computer savvy people :

This is actually a program I would be interested in using, but I'm of course deadly paranoid about trojans and key loggers. Can a computer guru person or two check this out to make sure it is okay? It sure sounds useful and I'd like to know if I have missed things.

You simply check your Deed Log in-game and mark the deeds you have done in the tracker. There's a "mark all as completed" function, so it shouldn't be too tedious for those who have a lot of marks to put, but it's still manual work

I understand your concern. To clarify: The file is like an Excel file and does not contain any macros, but you will need Open Office Calc installed. There are online tools available to check files for malicious content such as: http://www.virustotal.com/

I'm probably missing something, but it seems to want a password and won't open?

This will happen if you try to open the file with Excel and perhaps also older versions of Open Office than 3.2.1.

Lovely, I was trying to work out something myself of a similar nature but this is.. much better!

Love the idea of this! I downloaded it (I already use OpenOffice) and installed this, but try as I might to enter my characters, I keep getting the message "Document opened as Read-Only" and I can find no way to change it. Nothing in the Preferences is marked read-only and the Security tab is clear of check marks as well...

What might I be missing?

It may be the version of the Open Office you are using. It must be version 3.2.1 or newer.

Alternatively, try to save the document as a copy and reopen it to see if this helps.

I haven't heard of any others having this problem, but can try to investigate if above doesn't help.

If Lotro gave access to the deeds etc. via LUA, it could be made a plugin, but not at present.
