    Looking for better weapons

I am a level 25 dwarf champion. I am currently dual-wielding two axes I crafted out of barrow-iron a while back. I am wanting to deal more damage, but I don't know if I could craft two axes out of iron (not barrow-iron) and get better stats or if I should look in the AH. Any suggestions?

There are some level 25 weapon recipes (Gondorian, I believe, but I could be wrong). Check the crafting hall, and see what the trainers have available recipe wise. If your crafting skill is high enough to critical them, you can make some pretty decent weapons (I used ones I made myself right up until I got my legendaries at level 50).

    Cheers

you are correct. the level 25 weapons include the gondorian set. i just made a couple of swords for a kinmate yesterday. they will take rich iron ingots to make the blades needed.

as suggested, you could try to make them yourself to level your craft, or you could check the AH to see if anyone has any listed.

OK Thanks! But that leads to one more question: where do I find the rich iron ore deposits?

North Downs around Esteldin - Kingsfield, east part down toward Dol Dinen. Up toward Angmar.. Evendim east side of the lake. The area around Tinnudir, Ost Forod, over toward North Downs, down toward Oatbarton. Lonelands Ost Guruth area and east toward Last Bridge. Breeland - Nen Harn up near North Downs.

I've found the odd node of Rich Iron in the Southern Barrow Downs too.

As a level 25 Champ, you should have no problem gathering rich iron around the Kingsfell region of the North Downs. The nodes appear fairly close to the road, and you shouldn't have much worry over getting in too deep with mobs. Just remember, whether you see rich iron or gold, mine it all. Not only will the gold help supplement your income, but also there's a higher chance of those nodes respawning as rich iron than as gold. In fact, after a while of mining the area, you might even want to do a shout out in trade to offer the gold. I've often been able to trade my gold to jewellers in the area for two or even three rich iron for every one gold, or just sell it there and save AH time. If you start right at the bridge as soon as you cross into Kingsfell, and follow the road east to the fork, then a short run north almost to Othrikar, then turn around and head south all the way down to the elven town. You might as well pick up the stable masters at each point along the way as well. From there, run north along the road and west again back to the bridge, and start over. On a mount, I've been able to gather about 100 rich iron ore in an hour along that route. Granted, you'll need more than that to hit Master Expert and make critical weapons for yourself, but it gives you a good taste of what you'll need to do to get up there in the crafting levels.

    Cheers
