I too am getting this error. I have tried the lotro 'support' site which told me to ipconfig /flushdns which didn't work and then to post here. Any help?

I got on the first time. But within 10s I realized that I couldn't zoom the camera in or out. I did a character relog and that didnt work. So I closed the client and now apparently the server is full
I honestly doubt the server is full at 10:30am CST on a thursday. It's obviously broken.
I am getting the same problem. i honestly do not believe the server is full. If the server is full, surely it would be helpful if there was some way for us to see that, before we try to log into a server.
Yeah this is starting to get really annoying. This has been happening for wekks and still continues to happen on a daily basis. You would think that a solution to this problem would be important to come up with before the new expansion, but I guess its just not a priority for some reason.
Sure hope it gets fixed soon.
Its a game, get over it. And the capacity for ip span is usually about 2000 players per each server to reduce infeltic lag.
So the chance of it being full is pretty likely?
Go do something else for a few hours, hell go on another game if its raining.
If this appears for you, just have a few attempts to get in, I attempted 3 times, all failed few seconds later I got in.
If you can't get in, just go do something else for a while it may be a bug or it could possibly be full. In the UK ATM all the kids are off school so I can bet the majority will be playing this. (Its also raining in pretty much every area).
If its sunny where you are, take advantage, go have some fun .
I am glad I have a lifer account. I sure wouldn't want to pay monthly to see this error message.
If we are getting this error now, what will it be like when the Isengard expansion hits? Seriously re-considering getting this expansion if I continue to get errors like this. In the last month, I have ran into this issue multiple times trying to login.
Possible workaround that has worked for me twice now. Log on to a different server (I used Landroval). It makes no difference if you have characters there or not. Then quit the game and try to log back onto Vilya. If it works for you give me a /hug and a /kiss
Gah! This happens every week, at least. And it's been happening for over a month.
If it's a problem with their login server, they need to fix it.
If the server is actually full, they also need to fix that.
This is just kinda silly at this point.
I've never had this problem with ANY other game. Especially where the problem went unresolved for this long.

Agreed. At this point, I don't think I will get any playtime in today.
You know, I am not one to complain or even post on the forums, and I tend to be very chill when it comes to waiting, or bugs etc, but THIS is ridiculous!
I really dislike the fact that turbine put Vilya as a recommended server or whatever they did, I know it is something about it because I have heard several newbies state they picked Vilya bc it was a recommended server. Sure I love having lots of new faces, including my self and kinship to Vilya. (We transferred over from Elendilmir 3 weeks ago)
I chose Vilya because since 2009 I would come poke my head and see how nice everyone was and how great the atmosphere is. One of the big reasons I chose to move my kinship here was because of the amount of people there were. Wasn't to many wasn't to small, Vilya was just right.
I see it as if Turbine is going to make a server recommended and rack up a whole server supply of people that their own VIP Subscription paying or even lifetime subbers can't log in,(mind you the max each server holds is 3000) they NEED to make a queue allow all your paying VIP customers have access no matter what and stick the FTPs into a queue. I actually recall reading they were suppose to do something like that back when FTP was added, don't quote me on that, but I could have sworn I did.
Hey everyone, we're currently investigating this. I'll post again when I have some more information.

We've looked into it and have fixed the issue. You should all be able to log in without any problems now!

Have just tried to log in about 5 times, waiting a couple of minutes between each:
"Server Full" only button is "quit".
Why does it load the game gui just to kick you fully out of the client. Couldn't it check that first? Better yet, couldn't it return me to the server selection?
Anyhow, wanted to report. Brandywine is rejecting me... /cry
Edit:: just did a forum search, didn't realize this was vilya
7th time was a charm, I'm no longer rejected... woot!

Its happening again today. If the server is truly full, Turbine really needs to implement some sort of Queue rather then having the login server shut down the client.
