    Polished opal / Iron band

    I'm new and have been looking for a while and I can't seem to find a polished opal or an iron band. Please help.

    You need a jeweler to make the polished opal (you can find UNpolished opals by mining barrow-iron ore/silver), and you need a metal smith to make the iron band.

    You might meet one in the crafting halls, but they're not NPCs. They are players like you who have choosen this profession. Ditto for the metalsmith.
