    Launcher and downloading splash screens

    Sorry if this has been covered before (probably numerous times) but i will admit that i have not the time to trawl through all topics.

    Each time that i try to load up LotRO, i have to go through the same process of downloading these wretched splash screens.... been currently stuck on number 6 for the past 2 hours! This is a regular occurence and i am yet to find a solution to this. Although trying to contact support...will repeat "Support".... there is none whatsoever, it is beyond a joke now.

    I have an awesome connection, LotRO has full access past my firewalls and security. All i know is that since Turbine took the reins from CM, this has been an issue for me and perhaps many others and i will repeat...it is a joke!

    The idea of playing a game is to have fun, de-stress and escape reality! Trying to log in to LotRO does not do this and by the time i am finally able to log in, i am far more wound up and have lost all desire to play.

    Is there a fix for this that anyone knows of?

    Do you just let it sit there on them when they get 'stuck' or do you close the client and reopen and same thing happens?

    All submitted support requests get a response in the order received, currently turnaround for Technical Support requests is very low, if you have not already received a repsonse with suggestions or requesting more info and replied to it, e.g. you haven't received even a confirmation email I strongly recommend logging into your email providers website to check the spam/bulk mail folders as they might have flagged the emails that way and would not let an external email program or a cell phone to download/view those messages.

    As to the issue is there any change if you do these steps?
    1. Click on the Windows "Start" button and choose "Computer" from the list
    2. In there double-click on your C: drive (may display as "Local Disk C")
    3. Double-click on "Program Files" (note: if you see "Program Files (x86)" double-click on that one instead)
    4. In that folder double-click on the "Turbine" folder and then the "The Lord of the Rings Online" folder
    In that folder look for "TurbineInvoker.exe" (it will be the one listed as an "application" and will have the LOTRO "one-ring" icon) and when you find it right-click it and choose "Run as Administrator" to test.

    After contacting support, log into your email webpage to add noreply@turbine.com and accountsupport@turbine.com to their "safe senders" list and your contacts list/address book.

    Be sure to check Spam/Junk Mail folders as well since most email providers do not let external email programs or cell phones download mail flagged this way.

    Thank you for the swift feedback

    when running the "TurbineInvoker" as admin, it all happens quickly and am able to log in straight away in under 15 seconds like i used to be able to do.

    thank you again, hope to get in the mood to play again soon now
