The crazy and fun-loving kinship Sanctuary hopes that you’re enjoying your adventures in Middle Earth and welcomes you to join us in making LOTRO a more fun place. We’ve been around since pre-beta and love to explore Middle Earth and all it has to offer, whether that be end-game instances, drunken freeze-tag, chicken runs, turning lowbies into 65s, 'moors Mondays' or just enjoying each others company, we're here to have fun!
We can be ‘defined’ as a casual kinship that is end-game focused. We love running instances whether they are classic, skirmish, or top-of-the-line, and learning, dying, and winning together in as fun of a way as we can. As the game and we have progressed, we've started tackling the end-game content with more vigor lately and we always want more meat shields to throw at....I mean more soldiers to stand with us! If you're willing to learn, we'll work with you to make yourself into a hero you can be proud of, no matter your level.
If you’d like to give us a look, please check out our website: www.guild-sanctuary.com Make sure to read our Pledge and if you like what you see, post in our LOTRO NAO recruitment section after reading the READ THIS FIRST thread. If you have any further questions, feel free to PM me, post on this thread, or on our forums. Thanks for your interest and no matter what, we hope you have an awesome time exploring and enjoying Middle Earth!
P.S. If you’d like to see some of our old exploits, our old Sanctuary thread on these boards is here. We have since changed leaders and websites and want to make sure you can find us... but not our cake stash, that's ours! :P If you'd like to visit our old website, it's here.
P.P.S Our new website is currently in the final testing phases, so if you have issues/feedback/suggestions, please let us know! We want to make it as good as possible for everyone.
P.P.P.S. Our new website is fully operational and we'd love to have you stop by and hopefully join our group of cake-lovers and LOTRO fun-havers. Grammar we be good in.

Our 6th birthday was a blast! Chicken runs and a jam session in Bree are always a great way to spend an evening! Lots of brews and pipeweed to go around, and the One-Man Team even showed up for a 6-clone interpretation of "The Final Countdown". Looking forward to many more good times with our newest members!
Mentioned in another thread, but our lowbie long fellowship is kicking off on 1/7/12 in the morning US time. We have quite a number signed up with multiple toons. Let us know if you are interested!
We'll be kinda/sorta spamming /ooc and /glff when pulling together groups, if you would like to tag along for individual instances.
Sanctuary's "The Long Fellowship" (TLF) is alive and kicking!
Currently planning a Rift run late May/early June and even though Fornost was taken down just as we were on level to give it a go, we will be jumping in as soon as it's back up and running.
Come join us to level quietly on your own, participate in groups like TLF, 3-man Isengards, RoF, Foundry, explore The Great River and even make a run at Draigoch, our current goal for "big kid stuff." We'll even help you with Slayer deeding if you bring enough cake!
Sanctuary also has a full range of crafters!
Sanctuary is a family friendly, helpful, casual, fun loving Rank 10 Kinship. All levels/classes are welcome to check us out at:
Just a shout out to Mirvy for organizing our upcoming Rivendell Endurance Run which has been accepted by Turbine as an Olde World Adventure! Just show up at the Forsaken Inn at 12:00 PM server time with a level 7 character on September 16. More info here:
First, I would like to say a HUGE thank you to everyone who took the time and made the effort to support this event..great turnout and thank you to our 2 Race Marshalls, Kath and Nifti!
We fielded 8 runners in Raid Mode, 2 minute stagger starts. Me (Asfil), Saeg, Pad, Tael, Arn, Hurthar (can't remember main name, have to check), Sparky and Gail. 7/8 finished in record time, one conceded.
First place was Hurthar crossing the line in 18 minutes, second Sparky in 21 minutes and Saegy third with 25 minutes. I just kept smiling as people crossed the finish line, awesome job by all!
Screenies will be posted later for your viewing pleasure.
Had a short Kin House party afterwards, got drunk as skunks and ended up with either no pants, shoes or leggings somewhere! I found myself on Giants Needle in MM. ./shudder
Laurelin fielded 9 runners, 2 Marshalls and as far as I know 5 or 6 finished. They made it truly a family event with two children competing. Aalff's 7 year old daughter ran on her very own character, Lasellina and 4 year old boy crossed the finish line with mum steering! Very nice touch.
I am delighted that we were able to pull this off successfully. A post will be made to the official forums to announce the above and hopefully show others that we are indeed a fun Kin to be associated with. Thanks also to Hithlinel who you can blame , er thank for coming up with this idea in the first place.
Come join us in Sanctuary, either on Elendilmir or Laurelin EN-RP ( light RP), you will be warmly welcomed.

A little about myself; Mature gamer with a long history of MMOs behind me. I participated in the LOTRO Beta but did not continue ((Life issues)). I started actively in Lotro in 2008 but just returned a few months ago and started all over again; I had a strategy in mind. I love all aspects of the game but would consider myself a casual gamer but I do enjoy immersing myself into my characters and the environment that surrounds me. It would be nice to share this type of gaming with others.
Our fabulous kin leader Wiggi has stepped down to dedicate more time to his cake pursuits, and our local font of calm has stepped up to fill the role. Congratulations (I think?) to Erlnel on becoming our new kin leader!
We've been having a bunch of fun with some new members and jumping into the new content. The amount of fun and cake hasn't been this high in recent memory. We'd love for more to join us in our hunt for shiny things and tasty eats!

Coming up on the last weekend of February, Sanctuary will be starting a couple different groups in Moria. We'll be completing *every* non-instance quest in Moria and will be doing a fair number of the instances.
If you're curious about what the Moria revamp looks like, are struggling to get through the first time, or simply can't stand Moria and want some company head on over to our site and sign-up, or find us in-game.
Our current proposed play times will be Saturday afternoon and Monday early evening.
