Thread: goodbye my dear friends

The time has come to finally move on from LOTRO for me.
The vacation in Europe has opened a lot of opportunities for me in love life and in workforce. This means I'll no longer have time or desire to play.
Throughout my long 3.5 years of LOTRO, I've met a lot of good friends and tons of awesome gamers. Big shout out to:Leeradan, Brired, Chariel,Drek, Stone, Ed,Gilgalade,Dole, Koro, Sodock, Thul, Pharaz, Sherah, Essy, Riva, Call, Grom, Elk, Dag and many others. Thank you Wisdom and H&G for unforgettable times.
Thank you BB and SS for being somewhat a decent opposition. My hat is off to: Rusty, DD, Spidey, Speeder, Illz, Butta, Shak and Rhnynin and many many other creeps I've fought against and alongside.

seems like the creeps are doing fine with countering ministrel class oblivion. You guys all resorted to tons of defilers and wargs with occasional bunch of WLs to spam heal) besides, 2 wargs should be able to kill 1 minstrel, no problem. However, the issue here is whether they can)

We just need Milt to 12 box his burg's. Twelve terrible burgs to counter twelve terrible wargs. Now that was easy enough wasn't it? I think he's around half way there already right?

I kind of chuckle at this sort of response to criticism of Minis being a face-rolling class at the moment. What's the problem? TWO of a DPS class can take out one of a healing class! And the DPS class in question being the one currently complained about as being OP at the moment. If PvP were balanced, two of any class, freep or creep, should easily take out one of the other side. There would be no question about it if the skill and luck were approximately the same. There's a well known burglar forum troll that complains that 2 or 3 wargs can kill him now. Heh. All I can say is enjoy it while it lasts, because it may not. Large swings in PvP balance issues seems to be Turbine's modus operandi. I have sympathy for minis enjoying the current state. I have shelved my own until things get a bit changed. But I never played it much out there in any case. The old way was, be in WS, get yelled at by the raid, or heal and be killed in seconds. So if the new state is a blast for Minstrels out there (and it looks that way), can't really complain when people do. Although, the creep response or "doing fine" with a mini pack has sometimes been to log freep-side to PvE or PvE a little on creep. Just as, of course, the same response is seen to a warg pack.

This always happen with any class that becomes OP. Bring back the WS healing penalty!!!! The Mana has spoken, that is all

Yes Volo, thats the class you've always played, no one is disputing that, but if you can't agree that your class is the most OP class in the history of this game you are just fooling yourself. You killed me, Invicti, and another creep on a red stab the other day, thats not OP? You and I had a 50-50 1v1 record against each other (more or less) before Minis were buffed, there is no way in hell I could beat even the scrubiest mini right now and this is after my own class has been buffed. Its just another reason why this game is complete garbage right now.

Here's a warning to all Minis, if you see me alone and you attack, just be warned that I'm going to burrow and call for every creep I can find to zerg your behinds. Call it the RK treatment, those that choose to play incredibly OP classes should be prepared to deal with the ramifications ./endrant

I know my class is op, I don't need a second opinion. However, weren't you the one saying to ADAPT to the current state of the moors when BAs came out as FOTMs,Spidey? So here's me saying to you, ADAPT to the current flood of the minis, it seems like you're doing just that by pairing up with Rusty or using ooc. Fine by me =)

If you haven't heard I complained about store-bought BA's also. Skirmisher Stance and evade shouldn't be allowed to be used at the same time, sort like Burgs Knives Out and TnG, the evade is cancelled out. Don't worry about TBB, we always adapt, but its a moot point, there aren't that many that play anymore any ways. I already said how I'll adapt, I'll probably adapt by playing ToR If you think I'm QQing, thats fine, but its because I enjoyed 1v1ing Minis before, it was usually a good fight, now its a joke ./shrug Its a shame because the class was in a good place before the change, I blame the clueless Devs in this PoS game.

Noones holding a gun to any minstrels head and forcing them to spamheal in 1v1's. If you want to easymode all over people that's on you, but don't be upset when I get a group and flatten whatevers out there. Which the majority of the time is the stupid tactical solo-Zergball that logs after 1-2 deaths anyways.

I'm not worried about BB or anyone else adaptation process, creeps have been doing just fine during this week after my return) Constant warg packs, Defilers healing like crazy, Wls proximity tanking like there is no tomorrow. Good challenge and plenty of renown to be had)

Constant Warg packs, Defilers healing, and WL's proximity tanking aren't anything new, but a Mini being challenging to play now? Oh please, pull the other leg Why do you think they are FOTM now?

I barely log in so I really don't know how things are day to day in the moors, and frankly I don't care. I do know how Minis use to be and that they were in a very good place, it was a totally unneeded change, THATS my point.

Exactly) I look for a challenge when I come out, I can't help it that my class is the way it is, so I make it difficult when I can. I'll give ya an example. That time I killed 3 on stab when you happened to be the 2nd kill was a challenge so most of the skills were used to survive and win. On the other hand, I fought Toq and Get on CM in 1v2 and got destroyed but did bring Get to 1k morale) Defilers still outheal minstrel dps and always did as far as I recall(i.e. fight vs Gashrat,Lugluck) I fought Slapfoot, he used storebrand and lost with me using only 1 chord of salvation after the pounce. I beat a duo of rank7&8 wargs but lost to the same combo but different players 10 minutes later. It all depends on players these days. Hence the flood of the minis and them ranking in a month after RoI. Take it for what you will, there is always a solution to every opness or ezmode Turbine throws at us.
P.S I agree with you Spidey, I was perfectly fine with pre RoI mini-state, it was awesome for 1v1s and all around play.
