Since the SoA days I've often wondered... why wargs as opposed to goblins.
Goblins could be given all of the current warg skills (with the exception of pounce, call it something else) including stealth and sprint (they stealth in PvE and are often the fastest of mobs in PvE).
Give the goblin an out of stealth ranged attack like the warden's ambush so they still have that initial lock-down skill wargs have in pounce.
My idea goes one step further... allow higher ranked creeps the ability to ride wargs (I was never a fan of the map idea, it allowed for too much mobility on creepside that freeps simply can't keep up with), but this portion would have to be well-thought out. For spiders, at the rank an upright creep could get a mount the spider gets an equally efficient speed bump skill that when used out-of-combat would need to be interrupted the same way a creep has to interrupt a freep to dismount him from his horse.
I guess part of my thought process went this direction because wargs are dogs, albeit angry, they are dogs, but with the ability to drink pots, block with their paws, et. al.. Seems to me like the class should have been a Goblin all along and the warg should have been a tool like our horses. Fits lore a bit better too.

Did you read the books? Wargs and Spiders are both very intelligent races, agruably more so than a lot of Orcs and Goblins... If your problem is with them physically being able to use some items: do you think any character in this game would be able to down some potion while in the midst of hand to hand combat?
My Warg is by far my favorite character in this game. Don't mess with him.
