Out of curiousity: how well do you think it would work if Last Stand functioned similarly to Dying Rage in the 'Moors? It usually seems to just prolong defeat rather than help avoid it anyway, and there would be justification for it from a lore perspective. Might be a lot of fun solo, though you'd lose the IHW/LS combo for groups. Just a thought...
(I know most people don't want to see abilities mirrored across freeps/creeps. I agree. Purely hypothetical.)

If you're getting zerged, then it's great. With a bunch of creeps on you, nothing short of 1-shots is going to save you in your 25s desperate dash for life. In that situation, it would be great to say, "I'm gonna take one of you down with me." However, even with 50% more damage, it's unlikely a captain will be able to kill a full health creep in that amount of time. Wargs will sprint, spiders will poop and anyone else will probably just get healed through it.
In a 1v1, it's also unlikely to be better as Dying Rage than as it is now because no decent captain should need 50% more damage to finish off the creep with the extra time they have bought themselves. Plus, can you imagine the amount of QQ this would spawn?
I can see it working great in very even, lower number fights, but those aren't that common in my experience. It would be a great cinematic as you burn the last little bit off that Defilers morale pool before collapsing in a bloody heap, but again, that's not gonna happen much.
Last Stand is great for getting away when you've overextended a bit but haven't caught the attention of the full creep group. It's also great for when focused on by ranged attackers. Pop LS, break LOS, pray pray pray that a warg isn't waiting for LS to expire and then heal up as quickly as possible. I don't ever think we will have the DPS for a 50% increase to really matter. I like that it's a more "heroic" way to go out, but I would rather have the ability to get out some of the time.
Addendum: I did miss the IHW/LS combo part. It would be a horrible idea, if only for that. Ivar T2 is made possible/much easier by being able to IHW/LS for the last 90k of his life.

Oh it would be horrible for raids or PvE in general. I was thinking more along the lines of a PvMP only change, like they did with Desperate Flight.
Perhaps the buffs would be a bit different? But I can't really think of anything other than a damage/speed increase and CC immunity that would be useful in the few seconds of glory before you succumb.

I die most of the time at the end of last stand anyways but for the effect to change so drastically you would need pretty strong buffs while the skill is active.
"There may come a time for valor without renown, for those without swords may surely still die upon them."
Would be interested in a traited version, perhaps, maybe a bonus in the LtC line, although that would be iffy, as some Captains like to group with that line.
