Thread: Craft accelerator blocked? please help

I have purchased a bundle of "Scolls of greater craft acceleration" it does cover woodworkers, but for some reason when I try and use it it says scroll is blocked by active effect or item??

I tried swopping stuff in and out of my bag but never in time it only last 10 mins, plus it only shows this after u activate it!! I've wasted 2 now and I can't see why this is so please help as I am really stuck. Weirdly I can find a thread in the forums but when I click on it it doesn't show it grrrr can't find anything on google either.

It's so annoying..and a complete waste of money.

I have no idea if this is your problem-- and I have never used those scrolls... BUT... have you mastered the previous tiers?

For example, each tier has two "anvils", a proficiency (the first one) and a mastery( the second one). Once you achieve proficiency on a tier, the NEXT tier opens up, BUT you cannot go past proficiency on THAT tier until the preceeding one is mastered! (completed).

Thanks so much for the reply, but yep I have mastery for all the levels before, besides it i supposed to just speed up the recipie's it shouldn't matter.

Do you have ANY other effects on your character? Any kind of buff or debuff? It sounds like you have some effect on your character that's making the game think you shouldn't be allowed to use the accelerator at the same time.

The only Professions that shouldn't allow the accelerators are the Gathering ones (Farming, Forestry, Prospecting). But if you're using it on Woodworking, and you don't already have an accelerator effect active, then this sounds like a bug.

And if it gives you this error but still burns the scroll, that also sounds like a bug.

Check to see if you have the buff listed after you use it--if it burns a scroll and the number in your inventory drops, you should see if you have the buff listed. I think they last a short while.

I used them for woodworking in the past, (I am an armsman, so I couldn't harvest my own logs and planks, so using them ended up being quiet costly, so I turned to the accelerator scrolls to help speed things along) and never had any issues. I want to think I have seen the error message before but it didn't effect me.

You should also be able to see the XP rewarded for crafting increase--4 to 6 xp for example, when making components.

Boomthor, I thought the same thing when cooking with the acceleration scroll. While activated the scroll showed red letters saying acceleration was blocked, but I noticed that it was actually accelerated. The XP point per item crafted was increased by 1. When the 10 minutes were over, the XP per item went back down. So it was working even though it said it was blocked.
