Re: [EVENT] Wilderness Appreciation Day - biweekly

Again thanks to all who came! A small meeting but high quality content and RP from all who were there.
Sadly we had a bit of problem with the greater aggro range in this area, but I promise we'll be in a lower level area again next time!

    Pictures:

The poem Nimlith said can be found here: http://laurelinarchives.org/node/4351

I will be away in a different timezone for the next timeslot, so I will not be able to hold an event then. But keep your eyes peeled here and on LA! It might be that there is someone else jumping in...

Re: [EVENT] Wilderness Appreciation Day - biweekly

We have done all what we could to bring a bit of joy to this badly wounded place, but we were not succesful, for there need more than songs and poems to clean such a mess.
Although, we have met a very kind dwarf who had problems with his garden, and we had a beautiful time walking with him while he was guiding us through his village underground, and welcoming us in his garden on a little island, where there, we really have been succesful !

I would like to thank you all for coming and sharing this evening with us, thank you for the music, the songs, the poems, the spoons, the jokes... i have had a great time and i hope that you enjoyed too !
A very special and warm thanks to Steimli the kind dwarf who has been such a wonderful host. May your garden always grow beautiful plants and friendships, as it did yesterday evening ! *hugs*

Thank you for a wonderful event Hae! I almost did not come last night because I didn't like where the event was to be held, but I am SO glad I went. You organised a lovely event, original and involving all at the gathering. Well done! And thank you to Steimli the dwarf with the empty garden!

    Screenshots:

An unhappy dwarf requests the help of the gathering with his garden which, despite his best efforts, refuses to grow anything.

Hae tells a story in the empty garden

With the help of song and story, flowers are planted and the garden is filled with colour

Hae gets the entire gathering to sing a closing song

    More!

Your events have a such nice mood and pace Nim, Phedelene thoroughly enjoys being allowed to participate!

I just hope I don't spoil immersion for anyone being the terribly bad RP'er I am.

The middle song was Evenstar, from the movie trilogy, ABC taken from... uh, the Fat Lute? I've been away from some time, really should organize my ABCs & check which sites are active. That one at least wasn't a good transcription, though (I heard myself at least clear spots where notes had been clipped.)

Also, Yllissa played Pippi Longstocking theme if I recognized it correctly?

The songs listed above were taken from MIDIs available (at least then) at Mary Jean Holmes's website, slight editing on Anvil Studio and then putting them through LotRO MIDI Player, which I got from http://lotro.acasylum.com/midi.

Oh, an OOC tidbit: Aertiriel and Cirlinnon are not a couple. (I am pretty sure I won't RP both Aertiriel's father and spouse.) It might not be exactly obvious, but technically, the two Elves were there to keep an eye on her (as tasked by her father).

Re: [EVENT] Wilderness Appreciation Day - biweekly

Another nice evening of playing, singing and dancing through the night!

Thank you for the ABCs, Mithfindel - I use http://fefeconv.mirar.org for my own conversions, which gives very lovely results.
Last night Miji, Tanes and me played Chihiro's Waltz from Spirited Away and Abigail's Song from the Doctor Who soundtrack, as well as our traditional ending song ^^

    And of course, pictures!

Thanks for coming and see you in two weeks!
