    LFF Panel

    Greetings-

I've recently reached level 50 on my hunter and I now realize that I have a quest log full of fellowship quests. As a new player to the game, I'm not really sure on the best way to find fellowships to knock some of these out as well as get in on some of the raids and instances that require a fellowship. In my old MMO, the "Looking for team" window was where everyone went to find players to group with for whatever content, but that doesn't seem to be the case so much here. Of course, it could be that people inspect me and are dismayed. So my question is what is the best way to find fellowships for these kinds of places. My experience is that you can spam LFF or watch it like a hawk to see if anyone is looking for people for something you are interested in. But, since those channels are regional (I think?), what if you want to do Tomb of Elendil, but you're questing in Misty Mountains? I'm not really comfortable yet in setting up fellowships myself since I have no idea what to do in most of the instances, and I know that the raids are something else entirely, even though I haven't run one yet.

Is LFF panel the way to go, or is it better to find quests in the places you want to raid and watch/spam LFF?

    Thanks!

Most servers have a player-created channel called GLFF. Since it's player created, it's a global channel able to be used no matter what region you're in. Just be wary though, at least on my server it's used more as a global chat service than a global LFF. (Used for both but you'll be laughed out of the chat if you try to tell people 'Stop having conversations! This is an LFF!')

To join, just type /joinchannel GLFF in the chat.

In the social panel, you can also find people in your region who are looking for a fellowship. Unfortunately, people don't use this feature as much as I'd like, so, as stated before, GLFF is probably your best answer.

Good to know. I didn't even know that existed. I'll try it out tonight.

Unfortunately, it doesn't look like Riddermark has this kind of channel set up yet. I did, however, happen to see someone looking for help in Goblin Town (hate that place!) so I was able to clear out a couple of fellowship quests there yesterday.

Looks like camping regional LFF is the way to go until I get more established, but I do wish the LFF panel was more utilized.

There are certainly lots of people in our GLFF. However, a number of kins use smaller more private channels because GLFF can get rather spam filled at times.; If you're willing to lead the group you'll probably find yourself with more than enough people to go depending on the content.

Are you looking to do something in particular?

    Re: LFF Panel

Basically my goal is two-fold: 1) Get rid of some of these fellowship quests that are cluttering up my quest list (finally!), and 2) run instances for Annunimas, Angmar, etc. to get some experience with them and (hopefully!) start collecting the items I'll need to get that armor that looks oh so tasty.

I would love to lead the content, but since I'm really new I don't want to put people through that. Also, putting out "1/6 looking for Annunimas instance need tank, healer, and DPS" never seems like a good way to get a team going. But, this is my first character and I'm sure it will come with time. I just wanted to know what how the more experienced players went about finding teams for this kind of thing.

As a side note, I have found some people lately who have been on the same quest chains as me and been able to knock out some of those fellowship quests. Wewt! The instances are still eluding me, but hopefully as I progress I'll get more chances.

glff normally has around 150 people on it at any time. Make sure you typed /joinchannel glff and type /1 to talk in it.
