Re: So are the MyLOTRO blogs broken for everyone else?
I have the "Error: An error occurred while processing your request. We apologize for the inconvenience." when clicking on My Character Settings. Im missing kinship in the leaderboard too for some of my characters, might be a clue? The ones that do not belong to my missing kinship Winglord Alliance works fine when looking at them from Characters in the top menu.
Also when I press Kinships i get a redirect error.Last edited by GleoSnowbourn; Aug 16 2011 at 02:56 PM. Reason: Added info about Kinship button.

Re: So are the MyLOTRO blogs broken for everyone else?
I have these two errors (the infinite loop and Sorry for inconvenience) and I also cannot access the Kinship tab. The first few days after migration I could see a few of the quests run by some ( not all ) of my friends characters and search for known names to invite as friend.
Thank you, Celestrata, for letting us know that you folks are still focussed on this, with so much else going on.

I'm also having these problems. The character page error is limited to characters on Laurelin. (I have characters on Elendilmir and Landroval who are unaffected by this.) The Laurelin characters were all created post-merger.
Amandakay on Elendilmir, Laurelin, and Landroval
On Elendilmir: Melda, Elweenia, Harweniel, Hallana, Gypsophilia, Kerthryth
On Landroval: Hallaniel

Re: So are the MyLOTRO blogs broken for everyone else?
On belegaer, MyLOTRO is broken for me too. Monster characters and charakters on other servers seem to work. I guess the problem is caused by the kinship because afaik all members of my kinship on belegaer have the same problem. Searching for the kinship also returns no matches.

Re: So are the MyLOTRO blogs broken for everyone else?
Yes, it's account related. But not only.
I am still missing my kinship in mylotro. All characters in that kin give the "We apologize for the inconvenience" message. Other characters (not in the kin or on other servers) display fine.
(and i have the infinite loop on other user pages and my blog, too)
My second account (a former US account) worked fine until some days ago. Now I have the infinite loop and error message when entering "my charcter settings, too. What i have done: I created a char on Maiar, invited that char to my kinship. As soon as the character appeared in mylotro (after monday maintenance), that account became broken.

Re: So are the MyLOTRO blogs broken for everyone else?
Ok, I'm still getting the redirect error trying to access blogs, and my Snowbourn characters while they now show in the character tab, will not open. I also get web page timeouts when I try and open the kinships tab. This is happening to both my wife & I, on 2 phones, 3 computers & a tablet, running a variety of different browsers.
Up until this weeks maintenance I was able to access blogs, but none of my characters were visible. Now I cannot access blogs. My non Snowbourn character is there, my Snowbourn ones show in tthe list, but I get an error when I try and open them, but I can now create a forum Sig with them (though it seems a little out of date, and the kinship info is missing)Last edited by Boggo2300; Aug 16 2011 at 08:48 PM. Encountering these errors (characters on Belegaer) since ~ July 20th and already answered to Duwis
in the other thread. So here is another in-thread-ticket, hopefully you can get things solved now.Right now, all you can do is wait; once the migration has completed, your message in this thread is your "ticket". We'll be going through and looking at these threads to see if there is anything further we need to clean up.
So, please be patient; we are working hard to get everyone up and running again.

Re: So are the MyLOTRO blogs broken for everyone else?
Very good observation about the issue related to kinships. Both my kinship and my tribe seem to be broken, they don't get acknowledged in the forum signatures nor in leaderboards, and the people from my kinship also have both errors. (Don't know about the people from my tribe but I suspect they may have these problems as well.)

Re: So are the MyLOTRO blogs broken for everyone else?
Hi,
Just to add my voice to the growing list. I can't access the blog (errors), my preferences (errors), or reply to Loge's original thread (logged out).
That said, my characters can now be seen in the LOTROHerald iPhone app so that shows that some aspect of myLOTRO is working, despite me never making any of them public :/
You may want to make them opt-in by default, since can see all core stats, and know some people get funny about that kind of thing.
Just my tuppence.
You can write a decent game, but your web development skills are lacking IMO.
Exhibit A: myLOTRO/forum interaction and stability.
Exhibit B: The shocking in-game store that uses web tech from the 90's (#### layout/paging), cannot be resized, and navigation is plain broken (how about a back button that actually goes back in the history?!). Was it a school project for one of your kids?
I could go on and on, but I suspect it'll never get more attention.
One suggestion for the store, publish an XML file with all of the items available, their categories, etc. Y'know, their data.
In one day I could vastly improve on what you have, and in a week could blow it out of the water... I suspect I am not alone...
Cheers,

Re: So are the MyLOTRO blogs broken for everyone else?
I can see the drop-down list with my characters but that's it for now. Same error messages as listed in this thread.
What's interesting is that I have a few characters that I haven't logged in to since the migration took place, and they display just fine!
All characters I've used since migrating though, get these errors.. Hopefully that helps you in some way.
Hope you find the problem soon.

Re: So are the MyLOTRO blogs broken for everyone else?
Hi
Firstly, may I mention that the lotro.com domain does not work with IE8 (which I'm guessing is still a rather popular browser, and included heavily in certain environments, e.g. colleges, offices etc where users have no power over their browser). I had to download Firefox in order to access the website at all!
I am unable to view any details of any character on any server. If I try to, I get the following: "Error: An error occurred while processing your request. We apologize for the inconvenience."
If I try to post in my blog, I get the following "The page isn't redirecting properly
Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a
way that will never complete.
This problem can sometimes be caused by disabling or refusing to accept
cookies."
I used to be able to do this but not see my characters from Snowbourne, but now I can see my characters but can't do anything within MyLOTROLast edited by Methemir; Aug 17 2011 at 10:14 AM.

Same here, both errors on my account.
I have chars in two different kinships. The chars in the younger kinship "Die Eiserne Faust" (est. 2010) are shown correctly, the chars in the older kinship "Die Gemeinschaft des Rings" (est. 2007) are not shown correctly (no kinship in leaderboard and signature).Last edited by Omarion; Aug 21 2011 at 07:21 AM.

Here too ... Since just after migration. What seems to be interesting; everyone complaining here is doing so about accounts on former European servers. All but one are migrated accounts from Europe (indicated by the forum join date of June 2011) and the one that isn't says he only has the problem on characters created on Laurelin...

Re: So are the MyLOTRO blogs broken for everyone else?
I seem to be getting both these errors, but not on all my characters. Some i can see when searching for their names. But my preferences is giving me a "We apologize for the inconvenience" error. My blog seems to get the "infinite redirect loop" error.
Then again my avatar and my forum settings seem to work without problems.

Hello Celestrata,
I encounter both errors too. The redirect loop when I click on my username and the inconvenience error when trying to access a specific characters.

Re: So are the MyLOTRO blogs broken for everyone else?
I was going to say things were fixed, but here's where things stand:
1. I can get to my characters fine (I didn't look, however, to see if they were even updated).
2. I am part of 4 kins on my main server (I didn't check other servers as the main frustrated me enough). My main kin, I can load. Another one I get the error message, the third gets hung upon loading (I gave it 5 minutes... even that is way too long) and the last said it was deleted... far from the case.
3. I can access any of the My Preferences picks and they seem to work.
4. My Blog seems to be worse than it was before. I could edit any post I had posted previously under an alt's name, as long as there was a comment... now is not the case. As soon as I get to a post under an alt's name, I don't even see the 'Previous' post button anymore.I refuse to have a battle of wits with an un-armed person...
