Hey stoners, are any of you playing Order & Chaos Online for the iphone/ipod/ipad?
I just downloaded it and tried it out, and it's an impressive mmo for a handheld device. Controls take a bit of getting used to and of course the UI is small if you're on an iphone/ipod, but gameloft did an amazing job with this implementation. Graphics are sort of wow-ish, but animation on my ipod is very smooth. There are 4 races and classes to choose from.
They do have forced pvp from what I've read, which is disappointing. Apparently around level 30 or so you have to go to certain open pvp areas where you can get ganked by people 30 levels higher than you. It'll be nice to play it until then, anyway.
Has anyone else tried it?

I've tried it and like it so far. I didn't know about the whole level 30 pvp thing. I suppose I'll quit playing at that point.
At least I know before renewing my sub. (even though it's only $2.99 for six months)
Pretty generic MMO, but for a mobile device it's astonishing how good it is.
At some point after i had posted that post I read that the pvp starts in the 20s or so. But I've also since heard that they removed some of the ganking abilities. I don't remember the details.
Work is severely limiting my gaming time lately so I'm not anywhere near the pvp levels yet.

I'm low level too, but since you told me about the PvP I've stopped playing. The whole point of an MMO for me is to level up.
Now I'm thinking "why bother" since I have no interest in forced PvP.
I went back to Order & Chaos yesterday after I read that you can grind to avoid the pvp zones. While I like pvp, I'm not interested in getting ganked at level 20-something by a level 60. Imagine creeps being able to leave the moors and travel to the lonelands. There'd be an uproar.
I'm only at level 5 (lol) but had my first group to kill an elite goblin. The controls take a bit of getting used to even on an iPad, but with the impressive graphics (for a mobile device) and cheap monthly service (I pad $2.99 for 6 months... lol) and nice people so far, I expect this will hold me over until GW2 comes out.
Surprisingly they are still coming out with updates for it, and I heard they're coming out with pvp arenas.
They did have a hacking incident in October but I haven't heard of anything since then.

I can't bend my head around staring at my iPhone screen for long enough to play any game, even Angry Birds (which is the most singularly evil game ever designed and its designers shall burn BURN I say)
If I was still gaming on the ipod I'd not be playing o&c. But I'm playing on the iPad and it truly is an amazing experience that can't adequately be described. It reminds me of the days when I was in awe with ffxi.
It feels more interactive than playing an mmo on the pc due to the touch interface. Yeah you do that on iPhones and iPods but it's sooooo much different on a tablet. What's interesting is that the android and iPhone players are on different worlds.
People have reported being able to play the game AND run a teamspeak app on the same device. I look forward to the day when mobile mmos (especially on tablets) will have voice built in. My guess is that'll happen within 2 years.
