A lot of people asking for songs, but nobody posting any. Can't expect other to do all the work for you. Take a stab at it yourself. It's not terribly hard, it just takes a little effort.

Fior starters, it's not ABC...

Playing music in LotRO is as easy as ABC!
OK, you put these into a file, then what? Sorry for being a little dense.
I asume there's an in-game command used to read and play the files?
Ok, first, copy/paste all the text into a text file in My Documents/The Lord of the Rings Online/Music (you will have to create the Music folder)
next, rename that text file (name.abc)
in game, go into music mode /music
and type "/play (name.abc)
you will then play the jaunty tune.
Thanks for all the tunes everyone who posted, wanted to contribute so i tried to make one, it works, hopefully those who are more musically inclined can make it better, but its a fair approximation without chords, enjoy! and thanks again for coming out with songs.
As for several already here that don't work, if the file has ' or ,, in it anywhere, it won't work because those symbols tell the Lotro system to play octaves that are not supported. There are a few others that also will not make your song work, and those are all listed in the above thread.
The solution is to retype the song in another octave so it remains within the 3 octaves we are allowed. It is good to have a very good friend that knows abc to do it for you, as it takes hours to do. Or do it yourself.
Again, if you need help learning ABC or having problems, please keep those posts in the correct thread.
Thanks to all of you for submitting working songs.
This is my first time using ABC notation... wanted to do "Aerith's Theme" from FFVII, but settled for "Interrupted by Fireworks" instead... got pretty far... maybe someone can help clean this one up a bit? I've really only tested it on my harp.
Feedback is greatly appreciated! I'm gonna take great pride in knowing that I may hear this being played in fields and towns across Arda, as I struggled for a good 3 hours trying to learn all this stuff

I know you guys get plenty of requests, this will be my only one I promise. I have been in love with Dave Matthews "Crash into me" song for years and love the acoustic guitar in it, and I think it would be so perfect on a lute. Please, please please please. Someone.. I tried doing the midi to abc converter and it turned into a mess.. I have the tabs too if you are unable to find them.
(it's not perfect by a long shot, so i'll try to tweak it later.. too many high octaves that i had to replace - play it with flute) As for the Godfather soung, 1. that is probably the best you will get with what octaves there are and 2. play it with saxophone or clarinet
EDITED - removed the annoying pauses

Hello I was just wondering if ANY song can be turned into .abc format?....*dream about setting fire in he's lute while playing Through the Fire and Flames from Dragonforce*...wouldnt it be awsome? O_o
I just want to say thanks to everyone that has submitted working songs! I commend you for all your time, hard work and knowledge on this subject. /cheer
I'm gonna be using a couple of these in game, thanks for all the hard work everyone. You make this system very enjoyable for those of us who have absolutely no experience but tons of interest

Someone was going to make the James Bond theme for me. Anyone got it? Also any of the movie themes like: goldfinger, diamonds are forever, live and let die, and so on.....
Here's my go at the Final Fantasy III theme music. Still a bit rough, but definitely playable. Again... I've only tested this on the harp. Feel free to add (and post) your own enhancements!
Ok, I have now spent all afternoon composing songs, and here is my first attempt. I was digging around my sheet music, came across this, and figured it'd be perfect for the flute (go flutists!)

I have gotten problems for both Stairway to Heaven and Concerning Hobbits. The first error was unexpected token error. The second was note is too low. These are both songs posted on this thread, so I'm not sure what's wrong. Anyone know how to fix?

There were several on previous pages that were just midi to abc converted but not edited to be compliant with LotroABC. A token is a symbol in the ABC notation that the system doesn't recognize. You can see a list of what works and doesn't (gives you an error) here http://forums.lotro.com/showpost.php...2&postcount=25
For those that post their ABC songs, it would help the ones that can't do their own to first test them in the game. I know how frustrating it can be to have that excitement for a song only to be saddened when it gives an error you don't understand. It gave me the initiative to learn ABC and just hitting my 100 mark of making LotroABC songs I am far from proficient, but still learning. But many don't have my time to spend on ABC, so again, test your songs first, the joy you give others for working songs is .. well there aren't any words.

If you note the note at the end of the post, those songs (in red) use unsupported constructs and won't play in game. I left them in for history (they were posted before we had access to the ABC player) and as an exercise for anyone who wanted to try their hand at fixing them, and learning a little more ABC (and music in general) as a result.
