If you need more information on what the file 'can' have, see the Lorebook or my site (link in sig). There are many symbols/codes that are illegal but will 'pass' through. Those are the ones that will crash the game.. intermittently. So it is a good idea to post a "clean" abc song. Meaning every character typed is acceptable by LotroAbc.

I have reduced my updates to the site to 3 days a week because of all the testing and fixing I have to do. It isn't my job. As I get busier with other things I won't take the time to fix the broken submissions but just won't put them on the site. Or remove them if reported broken. I don't test the songs posted. They go straight to the site.

Also are you planning on making anymore classical songs, maybe something ina lower octave? I know they are hard to find most classical is guys trying to start a fire with horse hair and their violin :P

Yes I fixed it when I picked it up, working on updating the site now. Samril made a notation next to the line that needed the fix (thank you that really helps)

I'd love to do more classical but very busy with site and other things at the moment. But I am anxious to get back to converting classicals. I love them, oh and Enya.

Ironically, I suggest Melody of Lute on the Harp, personally, though the Lute obviously works as well.

These have all been tested and all work for me.

Even if what you post is a repeat of what we have, they are different and players like to pick their favorites of the same songs.

As for the Instruments you suggest, could you,(and other posters of songs) in the future, add a I: in the header with the instrument you liked. Then players just need to look inside the file to get transcriber recommendations, artist, composer, whether game or movie song etc. without having to come to the forum while in the game.

Also since 1000s of songs are being downloaded from the site each day, those that don't come here will have the information you share on the forum. You can have several information tags in the Header. N: T: I: Z: as long as the K: is the last one.

If your song is not on the list, check its code. If you want it on the site you need to fix the code and repost or email me. I won't search through these pages for a fixed past post, just don't have the time anymore.

rule of thumb, the cleaner your code, the faster it gets on the site. Even though a lot of code seems to 'pass through' so the song plays. It doesn't play on all systems. The songs break. It crashes some systems. So please take out all the code that is not on Turbine's list of what we can use. Even a blank line in the middle of the music body that I took out was what fixed the song for a player. The only Turbine blank line acceptable is after the K: (optional) and at the end which denotes End of File.

I can not believe I finally got all these programs to work right and got a playable .abc song. I used the program mid2abc then found the main melody line. I have tested this in-game and it works fine. Someone could adjust it to be played in a different key though. Enjoy!

not sure if its lag or not for me but on some parts it gets stuck or pauses for a bit. but i could be wrong, but it does happen to me. but other then that it is great and the pauses don't really bother me much, just it would be cool if it was a bit longer cause this is the best greensleeves for this game so far in my opinion.
