This sums it up pretty well. Although I use chrome
It would be interesting to know which kind of accounts are affected (US or former European). Because I have a US account which works fine. I have only this problem with my migrated EU account since Thursday.
My account is EU too. The issue is still not fixed. I can access forums after logging through mylotro, but logging through forums.lotro.com does not work. Tried on both Firefox and IE9.
I've been playing around with the problem and I can at least say for sure that it's not about cookies expiring. I had my browser refreshing the General Discussion forum section every 5 minutes, and what happened? Yup, after some time, I got the Internal Server Error page instead of thread listing.
Again, no other way to get back to the forums than going to my.lotro home page and click the Forums link there. Something is wrong, the fix has done nothing to solve this issue for me. Browser caches, cookies, everything has been cleared in between attempts.
I have the auto-refresh set to 2 minutes now. We'll see how long it takes until the site screws up again...

Hint:
Go to my.lotro.com, klick the back button of your browser and refresh.
This is often easier and faster than using the forums button.
Yup, that works, but is still an annoyance. However, I figured out my own workaround for this.
I have my.lotro homepage in one browser tab, with automatic refresh every 60 seconds whenever I'm browsing the forums in another tab. Even with this setup, I do get the occasional Internal Server Error, but it's usually enough to just refresh the error page to get through to where I wanted to go. It will work after the next refresh of my.lotro has taken place in that background tab.
Worth a try, if you have no problems using extra bandwidth for it. It certainly uses more of Turbine's bandwidth, but that's their problem as they're slacking with fixes. :P

Same issue here and yes I got a toon on Brandywhine so didnt help much
IE8 @work and IE9 @ home same issue
The only work around is going to www.lotro.com -> community (or my.lotro.com) and access the forums as I have done now..
Any direct linkage will not work when you are logged in.
When you are logged out I can access it directly.
So there is something happening with the EU players login which is done on the my.lotro.com. Some script is checking probally if we are really logged in and which is not running on the forum parts. Or maybe the $_Session or cookie vars depending how the login works
I've passed all of your issues along to the appropriate teams, and we are looking into the white page error. This error looks to be unrelated to the previous one.
However, I do know that the red errors are due to our work on myLOTRO, and will be alleviated when we get all functionality up and running for you guys.

Is there any rough timeframe on the mylotro functionality?

The only thing which dosen't work is this:
If I enter my username and password and log in to the side nothing changes. I have to refresh the page in order to see the menu Logged in as ..., My Blog, Inbox , ...
Also when I'm logging out this menu will still remain until I refresh the page. After that I'm able to logging in becaus that's the moment I see the Log in link on the page.
I haven't been able to access the forums for a while, I had this issue on every browser but a few weeks ago I managed to access them on Firefox. They now also open on Chrome but the only browser I can actually log in with is Internet Explorer =/
