Adding RoI to account tries to force upgrade?

I bought Rise of Isengard and to active it doesn't give an option to remain at the premium level, it asks for a credit card or to pay with another method. I ended up choosing game card and saying i'd enter one later so it put me VIP until the 9th of June.

You should make it easier to active this without trying to force us in giving any additional payments!

Also, do I need to equip my stone to get the additional 25% experience?? That's not much fun...

I completely agree. A friend of mine bought the pre-order of RoI, and had no idea what to do when faced with a message saying he needed to become a VIP to use his newly purchased expansion. Having already had an active premium account, buying a $50 upgrade should not prompt a person to buy an additional, and unneeded, $15 subscription.

After much toil, he broke down and bought a 1-time $15 VIP subscription for a month, which he has not yet been billed for, and has not yet taken effect. This whole experience did not at all help the fact that my friend already looked down on Turbine as a company...

IT SHOULD BE MADE CLEAR that there is an option to upgrade your account without paying for VIP status, otherwise it seems like an unprofessional attempt at scamming people.

Remember: If you don't stalk and overrun, you can't devour anyone.
