I had Metalsmith on artisan or so when I picked my first profession, and I did do the quest regarding the Superior Forge. I ended up switching my profession and decided to switch back to armourer a few days ago. I've maxed out apprentice and journeyman, also have got expert tier proficiency maxed. The quest dealing with the Superior Forge doesnt appear and i've checked NPC's in Bree, Celondim, and Thorin's Hall. Any help is appreciated.
Perhaps since you have already done the quest, you can't repeat it. I take it its not letting you advance to the next level, even though you have enough exp to do so? If so, make sure you are talking to a Metalsmith, not a supplier, weaponsmith, ect, specifically a Metalsmith.
Yeah it's not letting me advance, im 360 out of 360 experience but that's it. The quest doesnt appear; mastery for expert tier isnt there and neither is proficiency for artisan.

Probably going to have to go with /bug on this one, did you do the old mastery quest, where you had to go to Othrikar in the North Downs a retrieve an ore sample and carry it back?
No, I did the one where you just go talk to Molda and perform the task for him.
I'd have to just go with /bug then, never had that problem occur for me, and I have gone through the superior forge quest many times, before and after the change.
Are you sure its 360/360, I have done something like 358/360 and not realized it and couldn't figure it out before.
Weird.... well typically by now someone who is alot smarter than me replies and solves the problem, sorry I couldn't be of more help.
I guess, just /bug and wait... if you are an armourer, then you are also a tailor, you could knit the GM who helps you a sweater to speed up the process perhaps...
it sounds to me like you need to complete the superior forge use quest again. when you changed profession you lose all progress on any of the 3 crafts that aren't shared with the new craft and i would think you would lose the superior forge skill. you can check if you still have it in your character passive skills list or standing near a superior forge and look for the forge/superior forge icons on your character bar. if you cant find any npc in thorins hall with the quest then /bug it :P
I just looked and I do still have the superior forge passive skill. I guess the only thing I can do is /bug it once again. Did it 3 days ago but i'll send another.
