Re: What Plugins do you use?
BuffBars is indispensable. I've got 2 buff setups: one with every buff on me showing, and one with only Warden buffs. It makes cycling of self-buffs and heals that don't fit easily into a Mastery rotation far easier. I spend way less time with WoS down now that I've installed it. You can get it here.

Re: What Plugins do you use?
Plugin: Buffbars
When: all the time
I got one buffbar for all the debuffs and one that shows me the remaining time on all my warden effects
Plugin: Tonicbars
When: all the time
I mainly use this one to store all my ports and all my mounts, the extend is perfect for that and you can autohide it in combat too
Plugin: Combat Analysis
When: when I want to parse
Handy to test dps rotations, see how much you are healing etc.
UI: Yessh UI
I like my ui minimalistic, and since we have that arrow thing that gives us anything you could want on the buttons, why bother getting buttons. I did modify it to have the autoattack button somewhere else though.Thilla Snowberry: Lvl 85 Hobbit Warden, Training and Tanking since 2009

Re: What Plugins do you use?
I pretty much use buffbars all the time, no matter what toon I'm on.
CombatAnalysis sees a lot of use for me as well, both because Evendale would cry if I didn't, and because it's extremely useful.
For a tank, it's great to see what damage types you are encountering, and what's melee vs tactical or ranged. Is it worth it to use proc gear, or are the mitigations better, etc.
For any toon it's great in general for tweaking rotations, testing threat, etc.

Re: What Plugins do you use?
Buffbars for me its a total must especially when in OD now with the tiering debuffs there. (Details as nentioned above).
I have also used combat analysis to look at my own rotations.Khalis - Elven Warder & Captain in the Warband of Imladris

Re: What Plugins do you use?
Even though I am a raiding warden, I don't use plugins (strangely enough)
I would rather pay attention to my buff/debuff bar and fear/wound/etc status myself.
Makes me concentrate better :P

Re: What Plugins do you use?
I'm currently using Palantir and Tonic Bars, as well as Combat Analysis. No need to link since it's the same as Vonz.
I have tried BuffBars but never did get it setup how I would have liked. For any of those who use it, is there an easy way to start a buff window from scratch and add buffs to it? The times I've tried it, it worked on an exclusion basis rather than an inclusion basis so I found myself having to consistently clean up the window of erroneous effects any time some new buff came up I had to 'Ignore'. Would just like one for self-buffs and one for important fight buffs to be added as needed(Fear agro swap thing, Poison acid tier, etc).

Re: What Plugins do you use?
It's annoying, but totally worth it to go through the process of excluding things. I put mine together for the first time in a raid, at the very outset before the first pull, so I was able to get a startlingly large number of effects taken care of in one shot. I do think the plugin would be vastly improved by a "self-buffs-only" checkbox, though.

Re: What Plugins do you use?
I grabbed Buff bars as I found it to be indispensable. I typically use the slider and have custom tweaked it to show only my Warden B/P/E Buffs and other self buffs. I like to keep a minimalist UI so the slider off in the corner really keeps it clean and is efficient.
I have been toying with combat analysis to see what types of damage are coming from where in my raiding. It helps to learn when to wear what set for which set bonus. (Talking about defensive bonuses, Fire Defence etc)~Hurth R12 Warden

Re : Re: What Plugins do you use?
The combat system doesn't keep track of who applied which buff (the only indication is the message in the combat system). So without analyzing the combat log, this would be pretty much impossible.
The list of buffs that are not checked should be stored in the plugins folder though, so it's probably possible to share those files.Thilla Snowberry: Lvl 85 Hobbit Warden, Training and Tanking since 2009

Re: What Plugins do you use?
I've tried others but the only one that proved worth it to load for me has been BuffBars. Havent had much trouble configuring it, i just have little blue sliders off to the left side of my screen for all my self-buffs
Also I use the UI that removes the art around the Gambit Panel, whatever that one is called...no reason to be taking up real estate with fluff
oh and Combat Analysis when I need to parse, but thats not very often

Re: Re : Re: What Plugins do you use?
Yeah actually it does store that information in a readable manner. In /[user]/My Documents/The Lord of the Rings Online/PluginData/[game-username]/[server-name]/[character-name]/BuffBarSettings.plugindata.
Start of windows section:
Code:["windows"] =
Denoting a specific new window:
Code:[1.000000] = [2.000000] =
Starting the list of 'Ignored' buffs:
Code:["ignored"] =
Starting the list of 'Always Show' buffs:
Code:["override"] =
An example of one quickly configured window, cutting out only the relevant sections:
--------------------------------------------Code:["ignored"] = { ["Recklessness"] = true, ["Shield Bash - Block"] = true, ["Warden's Determination"] = true, ["Conservation"] = true }, ["override"] = { ["Wall of Steel - Parry"] = true, ["Warden's Triumph"] = true, ["Dance of Battle - Evade"] = true, ["Adroit Maneuver"] = true, ["Shield Mastery"] = true, ["Conviction"] = true ["Defensive Strike - Block"] = true, },
I think it would be a cool project to put together a master list of buffs for use in BuffBars, similar to the BOSS master mod list of Oblivion if anyone is familiar with it. Would considerably speed up time spent during a fight ignoring or always showing buffs in a given window, redoing it for other characters, etc if they could just be batch added to the file itself. Of course that's still less efficient than the plugin providing insertion rather than only deletion support, but I have no room to complain since I'm not offering to code it.

Re: What Plugins do you use?
As I don't really want to create a new thread as it could be answered here.
What do the plugins ACTUALLY do? I know they can customise your UI and present information in a different manner.
But why is Buff Bars better than just looking at your character portrait at the top?
What is Tonic bar?
COULD I SEARCH THIS!?!?! YES!!! (<- Directed to the people that say "search for it")
Why I want it answered here is more in the relation of "How do this plugins benefit wardens in particular?"

Re: What Plugins do you use?
Buffbars can show your buffs in a nice compact way, with the timers displayed without mousing over the effects. It's really handy to just glance and see how long the timers on all your self heals, defensive buffs have left.
In general it gives you a comprehensive overview on all the buffs/debuffs that might be on you in the way that you want to see it.Thilla Snowberry: Lvl 85 Hobbit Warden, Training and Tanking since 2009

Re: What Plugins do you use?
BuffBars gives at-a-glance information on which buffs are expiring next, and which buffs you have on you. It gives you text next to the icons, and a countdown to expiration. It also basically tracks which debuffs you will remove if you hit a wound/poison/etc. pot - the top relevant one is always removed.

Re: What Plugins do you use?
Let's say you're in the Lieutenant of Dol Guldur fight, and you get an eye. You can glance over to buffbars and see the timer counting down as you run, so you know when to announce that a new eye is coming - without mousing over it.
Let's say you're in Lost Temple, where there are two debuffs - one is Maggot Infestation, which must be cleared, and Septic Arrow - which isn't as high a priority, you can see which you have, once again, without mousing over.
Something else you can do - I've done this on RK for my offensive buffs, but not on Warden yet - you can setup a specific buffbar window to show your gambit buffs - the oft-maligned Defensive Strike and Shield Up, Shield Mastery, Adroit Maneuver, etc.
Basically it is a convenience, so you don't have to mouse over in order to see timers, tiers, descriptions, etc. And also so that you can organize certain buffs so you can see what's up (or not up) at a glance.
You are also able to set potions up, along with their cooldowns, so if, say, you get a purple eye in the Durchebag fight, it shows that debuff as well as popping up a nifty convenient little fear potion icon for you to click.

Re: What Plugins do you use?
OrcSmiter.. Thanks. (Everyone else. Thanks but OrcSmiter gave some excellent 'real world' examples).
You have to understand that I'm trying to play this without any 'helpers'. I like the idea of this being a skillful class rather than a button masher class.
I've done the 'plug-ins do everything' thing when I played another certain popular MMO. It grew old. I don't want to go there again.
So.. I've now installed buffbars.. It looks interesting. I've only experimented solo. But it is nifty so far and doesn't detract too much.
If I feel it's detracting too much, I'll not load it again.. (After all, I have to balance the "In reality I wouldn't know how much a poison has affected me" vs "I keep failing and it's not fun anymore")
I'll keep an eye on this thread.. :P

Re: What Plugins do you use?
One plugin (that I haven't seen mentioned) I use is Travel Window, though it's more of a "fluff" plugin than anything else. It basically groups all of your travel skills (class, race, and reputation) into one window. In terms of bar space it's more useful on my hunter, but I still use it on my warden. :P

I've been using BuffBars for quite awhile and just started using Palantir. Standard UI, but with stuff moved around quite a bit.

Re: What Plugins do you use?
I use combat analysis quite frequently and it has helped me tweak rotations and gear in solo and group contexts. I also use the buffbars slider though I am consider using the flashing bars/slider for my self-buffs once I can get all other buffs on ignore.

AW: What Plugins do you use?
I am using Bevy o' Bars for my gambit builders and masteries on a 3x3 grid. I am using the numpad for activating those, and this way I can better allign the cooldowns to the keys to press.... drawback is, I am already quite lost on my warden without that plugin when I am not in one of my standard rotations.

I am also using BuffBars... ah yes, and CTime to quit playing before dawn

Re: What Plugins do you use?
Yes buffbars is the only plugin i have and i can say its a must. It makes things easier. I use it for the following:
1=To display only my wardens buffs(heals, bpe etc)
2=To display effects that can be removed(fear, wound, fear etc) and also shows the pot needed to remove it
3=To dsplay morale and power pot when am low

Re: What Plugins do you use?
Buffbars, combatanalysis, and a plugin for the iotf riddles.
I have the slider bar from buffbars set up for my short duration buffs, so I can time things like refreshing HoTs or WoS. I use the other part of buffbars(I cannot remember what it is called, but it lists effects in a column) for longer buffs, like SM or SoW from a cappy(I treat my cappies horribly
).

Re: What Plugins do you use?
Basically BuffBars and Palantir.
I don't feel the need to use TonicBars, as my standard bars aren't filled even with all the stuff one can need (ports, pots and horses) (on the contrary, I use TonicBars on all my other chars - burg, hunter, LM - to put all the off-combat things).

Re: What Plugins do you use?
I love Travel Window, and use it on every character. It's especially useful on Wardens/Hunters because of all the extra travel skills of course.
I really love that it shows how many travel rations I have, and changes the color when I get low. It makes it really easy to know when to buy a new stack of em.

Re: What Plugins do you use?
Haven't used any plugin thus far as I am really a "I hate additional modifications" kinda player. Nothing to do with reality ingame, but more the hassle of it.
However reading more and more experiences of (esp.) buffbar and palentir I might play around with it. Given, I haven't done OD/BG and all other instances (even DN) aren't that difficult that you need additional aid on your cooldowns. But I do understand that it's better overall if you can avoid reapplying your shield mastery 10seconds too early.
Might try it later this week while solo'ing some skirmishes, see how it feels.
Ow and thanks for that travel plugin, I will get that one for sure. I like a minimalistic UI, though want all travel skills at the ready. Getting kindred with most of the people now and my bars are getting full
