Thread: [EVENT] Hûd in Eledhrim (Hall of Fire Wednesday) Elf themed event

Before they changed the aggroing range of monsters, travelling to Rivendell could be indeed very troubling. The Kinship the "Warband of Imladris" who reside in Rivendell used to provide an escort service from Ost Guruth through the Trollshaws to the home of Lord Elrond in Rivendell. This service although not spoken of as much nowadays is still offered should the need arise.

The Warband will always go out of their way to ensure people can make it safely to the event through the various means open to them.

To make contact either send a in game letter (message) to Khalis, or contact him via IM.

I have to admit, last few HoF gatherings were VERY... uhmm... quiet.

But!! Holidays behind us, and other games starting to lose their initial magic (new & different isn't always better, but then I took an arrow in the knee)...

Just a few words to thank the Lady Mirineth for arranging a lovely guest room for me, and also for her kind and wise words. It is nice to be able to spend a few peaceful days with Bilbo and with the Elves.

Thank you all for coming; I had a lovely evening! Perhaps, compared to other wednesday nights, it wasn't very busy, but it allowed people to have separate conversations. See you again soon!

After seeing the concert well attended by mainly elves last night in Celondim perhaps Andunië would consider playing in Imladris?

Remember Rivendell is a great place to roleplay in all the time and not just on Wednesdays for you just never know what conversations might be going on there.

Last night for example i was patrolling the immediate land surrounding the home of Lord Elrond and when i wandered inside i found a group of elves from several kinships playing together. So i was treated to an impromptu treat before i was due to meet some people.

If you ever read the books, you might remember the description of the Hall of Fire? Frodo just woke up from the Morgul stab wound. Bilbo is composing his song and asks Aragorn for help. Music all around them... Hmmm!

In an effort to recreate that fantastic atmosphere AND to try create an Elf oriented social hub for spontaneous social style RP, the Hall of Fire series of events have been going on for years now, and every Wednesday evening (Europe), Elves of many different kinships gather in the hall to enjoy a relaxed evening, to momentarily forget one's worries, to listen or to play music.

Don't be too intimidated by the concept of immortality! Give it a try? I am usually around as the curious Mirineth, and usually there are more curious elves, so it shouldn't be too hard to get in contact quickly, and get involved. However, I'm no IC host (this is Elrond's house, not mine), and there is no special program or structure: this gathering is, and has always been a sandbox.

We usually start to gather at 7pm / 19:00 BST / 20:00 CET

Bring a song, poem, or just put on your dancing shoes. Wear your most elegant/casual dresses and robes, and best leave your weapons in your guesthouse/room (upon arrival you no doubt will have received a private room). If you wish to get a safe and easy transfer for a low level Elf to Rivendell: I have a lvl 75 hunter (Donnah) who can port you to the valley.

Hall of Fire Elf gathering

Hobbit Heart is currently travelling through the Trollshaws .... on route to Imladris . Brave hobbits have reached Echad Candelleth where they are camping for the night. The company should reach Rivendell tomorrow before night fall and will seek refuge at The Last Homely House. We are looking forward to see our elven friends and to play some special music we have prepared for them.

After a few lovely and peaceful days and nights in Rivendell, finally Hobbit heart did get the chance to perform in the welcoming home of Lord Elrond in front of Elves and their guests. Hobbits and even dwarves came from all over Eriador to enjoy a nice evening of music and merriment. Hobbit Heart would like to thanks the Lady Mirineth for her warm and gracious, welcome, and of the lovely new clothes *smiles*. Brave little hobbits of Hobbit Heart will travel back to Imladris again in the future to be with their friends.

Many thanks to the ever warm welcome of Lady Mirineth and to the small folk of Hobbit Heart for the entertainment, i especially loved the singing. The words to the verses were brilliant!

After wanting to go to the event for months but don't have time for it. I've finally have a Wednesday morning free to attend.

So I woke up at 8am, read the hobbit in preparation to be a silvan elf, eager to attend the event, and found out that I came to the Hall of Fire early, 4 hours too early.

So I must point out that there's a mistake in the first post

"Starts around 19:00 UK Time, 20:00 Central Eastern Time (CET), 14:00 Universal Standard Time (UTC)"

19:00 UK time is 19:00 UTC in winter and 18:00 UTC in summer.
I think you've mistakenly used UTC when you really meant EST/EDT (East Coast of NA time), East Cost time is 5 hours behind UK time regardless of season, and the event would be held at 2pm EST/EDT

It's August 1, but what's more important, it's... WEDNESDAY! And Wednesday means Hall of Fire WHEEEEEE See you later tonight!!!

Whats this.........news has reached Imladris that a force of riders many wearing emblems of the Horselords are riding with others towards Imladris.

As of yet many questions remain unanswered.

This news was brought to Imladris by Lord Tagos, one of the Officers of the warbands which defend Imladris late yesterday.

Cooler heads in the band may prevail but with the RedHorn Gate closed by storms many were unmanned at the prospect of the route through Moria or the passage across the land of the Dunlendings. And so they proposed to pass through Imladris and chance the Northern High Pass.

Due to their high-handed behaviour in seizing Thorenhad, including the drawing of weapons on the Sons of Elrond, these brigands have been forbidden to cross the Bruinen Ford by order of Elladan.

A watch on their movement is being maintained by Warband scouts but as the brigands are several dozen in number we lack the strength in arms to contest their passage.

Members of the Warband of Imladris and House Vanimar discuss matters which are of concern with Imladris.
