The warmup party last Friday sure was lively, and this coming Friday we're ready for the main event! Including the pie baking competition and prizes for the arts competition.

Tonight is the night, hobbits! Welcome to the GDF 4th anniversary main party! Pie baking competition, awards for the arts competition, music, dancing and merriment. It is likely a busy night, so there may not be room to open for many entertainment offers, but we'll see what we can do!

And, we'll round it all off with a massive fireworks display afterwards (the weather forecast says it'll be a dark, clear night when we're done), so bring your own and join the fun! But remember, Barmy hates it if yer set them off indoors...

Else, it has been a busy week of all things Green Dragon. So, thank yer all who came to the parties, helped out, entertained us, danced them nights away and participated in the competitions! And rest assured, on Friday we're back to normal, with the looser and more spontaneous GDF's we usually have, with ever more room for yer all to take the center stage *smiles*

A small writeup about them parties can be read over at me burrow. Else, here are a few images from the events, accompanying the Green Dragon Anniversary Song (best watched in fullscreen/HD quality, if possible). Only one more year until we can sing it again!

So after all them anniversary things, it is business as usual at the Green Dragon tonight. Which can be grand enough fer a hobbit!

Yay! Tis Friday and Green Dragon day! Oh what fun there'll be ternight fer sure. Though please excuse me abscence Miss Lina... after supping one of me Nan's potions, I'm no fit ter be seen.

Was certainly a night to remember with a song about me.

I'm returning to the game this weekend and will be having a fresh start on Laurelin, looking forward to it immensely. I haven't decided which race to roll yet, but coming across this thread almost makes me want to roll a Hobbit just to be apart of this event - looks awesome guys/gals

I haven't been sure what to roll, I fancied a Man - Champion or a Hobbit Ministrel. SO I thought I'd so both. I'm going to start the Hobbit Ministrel when I get home from work tonight and hopefully I'll run my way over to the Green Dragon for a visit and to say Hi.

I'm new to the server and to RP but can't wait to get started and hopefully will end the night with new friends. I'm probably name my new character Bradbic (hope it's not taken) so look out for me

(I've since learnt that I didn't migrate from Codemasters and hence have had to start again anyway, tut)

Hiya. I've been uploading on youtube recently, and one of my old video's reminded me of LOTRO! In particular Green Dragon Friday. This is a promotional video I made for the Kin ''Shirelings'' back in 2008, this was also near the start of GDF and towards the beginning you can see some of the early patrons.

For a long time (3 years!!!) the music was taken off by youtube, but i've noticed it's back! So turn up your speakers and have a glimpse of how things were 4 years ago on Laurelin server.

The video star's Lothilia sewing seed for a few seconds (I wasn't up for a speaking part), and her father Jimothy Bolewood who does some fishing and some waffling at the end. Thankfully we can't hear what he's saying to the locals at The Perch Inn, however I can finally reveal that he was bemoaning the fact he'd been kicked out of The Green Dragon for bad behaviour by Barmy Rootknot! Good job he was heavily edited.

All the best, and glad you are all still enjoying Green Dragon Friday. I will pop in sometime, promise.

Please note!! You cannot join Shirelings Kin anymore! This was an ancient Kin of hobbits who's sole purpose was to create RP atmosphere in The Shire as at the time, there was no RP at all (perish that thought! perish it!!). Job done and dusted, I know the RP is doing very well after all this time.
