My Warden is a Armsman; I've only focused on Prospecting and Weaponsmithing so far. I decided I want to bring him through Woodworker, so he can make stuff useful for himself. Part of me wants to change his vocation, but he's already like Artisan or Master (forget which). So I'm going to need to use an alt to get him Wood. My only other mid-level alt is a Historian (and Artisan/Master Scholar already), so he's out. My Explorer alt is only level 16. Since my main and primary alt are only low 40s, leveling them is my real priority. Is it possible to get higher-level mats for my Warden using a character who is under level 20 (and probably won't ever get to 40+)? I was looking for guides, but can't find any.
TLDR - Need to use a low-level character to gather wood. Is this possible for all tiers and, if so, how?
What I would do is either A) Purchase wood from the AH, I know on my server it is sold often and cheap. -OR- Find a freind to buy wood from. When I am out and about I will pick up the wood I see, and I have sooooo much wood in storage its not even funny.... and I supply a kinship with weapons.
Or u can go around an make deals u help player they help u.. get friends in the game it is an mmorpg after all and relying completely on your self to to hard to do talk to people make trade agreements there is an entire middle earth out there of players and being one of the top friendliest communities of gaming i think someone can help you lol I'm a yeoman so lol cook farmer and tailer(what??) i need a lot of help with tailering lol from everybody i find or u can make a deal supply the umm supplies and he/she can make the desired object for you there is a community come and be apart of it we will welcome you

yep. bartering is a good tool and helps you make friends in the game.
black ash will be found primarily in the misty mountains, forochel, and eregion all three of these areas, you would be hard pressed with your main and first alt to gather wood there, due to them being lvl 40+ zones. since you have an explorer, you'll likely want to level them up a bit to at least where the creatures aren't all purple or red. then you can just avoid them whilst gathering the wood you need.
you'll note that you need ever increasing amounts of wood to level through the tiers. it really starts to get on you when you reach tier 4 [artisan]. you literally need a metric butt load of tier 5 wood [black ash] and the tier 6 woods [ilex & mallorn] to complete the woodworker profession.
To the OP, I recommend posting a thread in the Trade section of your particular server's forums. Offer to trade other mats you can collect (ore, low level wood, hides, scholar mats etc) for the wood that you need. Hopefully someone will take you up on it.
Thanks all for the advice! My main is a prospector, so maybe I can find someone who wants to trade ore for wood. I usually give all my hides to my friend who is leveling a tailor.

check with that friend and see if that tailor is part of being an explorer. if it is, trade the hides for processed wood planks.
i wound up creating a captain and made him an explorer just so i could gather wood for my champ. a side benefit was being able to level the forester through hide and wood processing, plus being able to make medium armour for my gf's hunter and warden.
Trades are a good idea, if your server is anything like mine, relying on the auction halls will make you go broke fast.
I have a high level toon who's an explorer, and she gathers wood and just about everything else for my lowbie toons - my woodworker is 10, and she can make LIs just fine.
Granted, some of this is going to change with Isengard, but I think it's only processing the wood (making planks, etc.) that'll be rep gated - not making woodworking items themselves, but do check to see what's happening there.
PS: If there's wood in Forochel, it's very limited. Never seen any, myself.
There's no wood at all in Forochel Not a single wood node in the entire region.
Another strange discrepancy is that Misty Mountains holds tier 4 Ore (Dwarf-iron/Platinum) but tier 5 Wood (Black Ash)
