Thread: Vol 3 Epic Quest Line

Is anyone having an issue with obtaining the Rescue in Nurz Ghashu skirmish from Corunir? I am unable to find it in either my skirmish things, yet every other part of the epic line that required a skirmish to be completed was placed in the skirmish join panel. Any help or information on this would be greatly appreciated.

Apparently the skirmish was disabled during the Update 3 patch for some reason. I was wondering what would happen to someone doing the epic book line but I guess this is the answer to my curiosity.. Sorry! Good luck!

The instance was broke - probably both epic and skirmish - so they disabled it for now. No word on when it will be re-activated, but likely Soon(tm) given that it's used in the epic storyline.

There is supposed to be a hot fix after the take over of the EU service by Turbine. Maybe, sometime between June 6, 2011 and June 13, 2011.

Is it so much of an inconvenience to auto-complete this quest so that Turbine's faithful, and well groomed ( ) player-base, can continue progression on the Epic Storyline that it's going to be weeks before any sign of fix?


Sometimes I just don't get. This sounds like an issue where Turbine, you don't have to compromise between deadline's and quality service. We can all win, and we all know how much everyone likes winning!


I understand that there are always going to be people who take a mile when you give an inch. Such is the life of customer support , but don't let these sour bananas, or anything else for that matter to stand in your way from the good, faithful, and loyal fan-base!


And one last thing...If i didn't put enough fluff, or flare, or gratifying content into this post in order make this issue a manageable one, please let me know! I'm more than willing to put in as many well mannered adjectives as it takes to get the job done.

Not to be a fire starter or anything, but I cancelled my sub already over this. I don't hate Turbine, in fact really enjoyed the game up to this point. However, ingnoring or denying the requests of the people who got stuck at this quest is just silly or apathetic by choice on their part. There are other games coming up which will enjoy my money.
Just seems silly on their part, but I learned a long time ago to speak with my money. Once I put in a ticket with the actual request and was denied by them just closing it and saying its a known issue... that was the cue that ViP doesnt stand for what we think it does.

Also Im no fool, I know my cancellation wont change things for me. I hope it changes things for future subscribers.

Given the current Migrations taking place, I find it understandable that it's not something they can fix immediately. It's unfortunate the timing of it, but sometimes that's the way things are.
For now, may I suggest working on improving LIs (taking advantage of recent updates to easily craft Level 65 2nd Agers), rolling an alt, working on grouping skills, trying out some raids, spending time fishing, or just hanging around in general chat talking about bacon?

(though, yes, not any that will further you in the epic. I will say you're going to like it though, Books 2 & 3 are a blast)

I'm stuck here as well now, and I really need some of the rewards from later in the epic line. Any word from anyone about a hotfix?

I sent in a ticket and got a copy and paste reply about how they won't complete it.
Pretty lame, you have to complete this chapter to advance to the next book, where you get all the really nice rewards like the second age class item and first age armor item. Worst of all you can't get the magical, all powerful horseshoe!

I haven't found anyway around it. Be nice if they would just auto complete it or at least give us a heads up on when the fix is gonna happen.

If we are lucky we get it on Wednesday. Tentative down time 6 - 10 am GMT-4 for a hotfix.

Only they appear to have canceled the hotfix. Maybe the fix didn't work and they're still working on it.

Hotfix this morning but still no Rescue Skirm???? What's going on?

Any word on a fix for this yet? I've been waiting for this to get fixed because I could really use that 2nd age LI!

Turbine: If you won't fix this problem for the foreseeable future, will you at least let us past this locked gate for now?? You're holding us all up!

It's actually in the last BR update, but that's actually back down now (I think) so it should be coming any time, unless there were major problems with it in the patch.
