Thanks for the 1v1s today (Haldabash, ELPH, Tusc, Skinsalot and Zerglet). Even though there were only a few freeps there and it must have been dull fighting the same people over and over, it was much better than the Lugz rez camp that was going on elsewhere.
I'm sorry about that last fight Halda. I noticed you held back at the end of the previous fight and went for the double kb...and I tried to do get a double kb in this one as well, but I messed it up and ended up alive at around 400 health with no bleeds on me...feeling like a jerk :P

Thank you for the fights too! And it's all good, we are very closely matched =) Much, much better than the rest of the pvmp that was going on.
Thank you also to Gossip, Lemblod, Maenchrist, Mason, and Cariance (earlier in HH)!
Good 1v1s to everyone yesterday on both my warg and defiler. My new person to beat 1v1 is Silvers on his warden for my defiler, although I'm also going to try to beat Carli without fear. Do not fret, I will still feed you loads of renown! Also, if I do not wish to 1v1 it's because I'm not traited for it, I keep switching between physical and tactical mitigation corruptions. It seems Turbine decided that is how they were going to fix creep mitigations since all the other corruptions are still pretty awful. Sorry =(
Thanks for the 1v1s on both sides, was very fun. My warg is doing better than my burglar in 1v1s which is... shocking. I apparently forgot how to grey bar people to death while gearing my captain up.
Awesome 1v1s all day freeps. Too many to mention. Had a ton of fun. I am getting better and I am sure it shows. I will continue to try to improve and keep providing you guys with good fights. Thanks again!
Epic fights Maencrist, I almost had you in that first fight but I think the ON buff did me in.
Giggle..................We gotta keep at this, you wrecked me yesterday.
Ostara that was a fun fight, albeit a confusing one. You seemed to be healing a lot but perhaps not traited for it so I was hesitant about blowing CDs, great fight none the less!
You're pretty good, buddy. Taught me pretty quick to not underestimate a new warg, just cuz he doesn't have rank. Look forward to the fights getting even more challenging.
Good fights to those that I got a chance to fight on CM last night
Rusty lol
Thanks for that 1v1 outside of HH. I know you were busy farming the sigil. Appreciate you stopping and being my first pvmp experience since transferring

Thanks to all the people who have 1v1d me in the past few weeks! (been a lot but Hraespup, Moraxus, Arshboxer, Morbiwargy stick out to me, plus way more reavers) I need a lot of practice, so it's definitely been beneficial for me. I think I'm getting easier and easier to beat oh well! More practice please!
and yeah Morax, I was spear during our fight but still trying to put up some meager hots simply to hold on for a bit (: but that was a really fun fight!
I saw what you did in that first fight that was very sneaky, I've never had anyone use that successfully against me before, I wasn't expecting that at all, it kinda threw me lol looking forward to many more battles like that, without outside interference!
saw someone commented after U10 spiders were OP as Fk
man I laughed so hard I wet myself and tears streamed down my face
I pondered, obviously they don't play a spider main.
Thank you Durtz, Loogy, Thornpaw, Seahawking, and reaver who name I forgot, for the great ganking of 1v1s today, I guess freeps are so overpowered you felt it would make them more fair.
Otherwise fun 1v1s Aberham.
Been playing my freep recently instead of a creep, has been very fun. Very different coming back to it after playing as a creep, nice to know more about the other side.

Lol dude thats there way on this server (intolerance, so Loogy Durtz etc) i was lucky enough to talk to one of there tribe Ba's and he told me the reason why they do it and its fair enough i disagree with it going this long but owell 1v1s do get boring in the end ill admit that.

As I've been playing on Bullroarer I've come to find that many people think of Riddermark as the 1v1 server, so people who transfer here should know ahead of time what they are getting into. Of course I love 1v1s, so for me it is great, but if people are not fond of 1v1s, this wouldn't be the server to transfer to (unless they can at least ignore 1v1s and let them be). If they transfer here in spite of that, well that would be pretty rude to try and change an established culture of a server, which lends to the argument that opening up transfers to Riddermark is/has been diluting it's culture. Either way, just label these people as 'Kill On Sight' for both sides and let nature take it's course.

Ganking 1v1 isn’t cool doesn’t matter what server your on. Hitting freeps or creeps after they get done with a 1v1 is ####, each one of them should be targeted over and over without mercy from every fraid going forward.
Ridder has a good 1v1 tradition, don’t let transfers screw it up.

Well reason is first day durtz got here he went to help a reaver at 1v1 circle getting hit my freeps for no reason and then he got zerged by 12+ freeps and since then theyve done what they do as i said i dont agree with it going this long but meh and they just dont 1v1 on this server, they do on others so.

If people choose to gank 1v1’s they should be targeted and killed on sight by the opposing side. After a few days they will likely knock it off and go back to regular play. When you gank a 1v1 you’re cheaply picking up infamy renown but you’re hurting your side as now the opponent is less likely to want to 1v1. I’ve been ganked in a 1v1 circle on both sides on ridder, I know it happens but if I am reading your posts correctly your saying they do this as a play style choice (do correct me if I am wrong).
Fine, but choices should have consequences if players are choosing to do 1v1’s that’s their choice of game play, if someone else choose to attempt to impose their play style on others they should dealt with severely within the game mechanics.
I was 1v1ing at TR rez, but the raid kept zerging me.
Why should I then leave you to your fights at Lugz rez? (which is not the 1v1 area).
Let's pull back. You're a warg, couple of hits you are dead. Do you enter the freep ball at EC shuffle or go for single targets riding back. No brainer. BUT this saddens you, so you begin the foxhunt. Well if I can't fight there, and you guys give up camping OC with your freep ball and decide to 1v1-- where am I fighting again? It baffles me that you desire to set the pace of the moors fights whether it be single, small group, or raid fighting. You know that we actually want to play too? But then the criticism might be, yes well, why not 1v1? Sure I'll do that, wait no one wants to fight me except the 2 people present who can kill me without breaking a sweat. Oh I'm having so much fun. Just because you got bored of freep balling OC doesn't mean I have to bow to your will to suddenly want peace. I happen to have the time to play all weekend but what if you don't? Are you supposed to sit on your thumb and listen to Justin Bieber till freeps decide it's OK to fight normally again?
Actually I'm not. Intolerance has it right. Kill everything, no heroes, no survivors.

I warg on riddermark (Guthmak) and ive died countless times, here's the thing (since we are pulling back...) all one has to do is pay attention for a minute or two to see if 1v1's are happening. It dosent matter where they are really we all know what they are. So based on your example, your choosing to impose your desire on a group of people who dont share it. If they dont want to PvP and want 1v1 thats their choice, however should you come along and that dosent fit what you desire then you pop in.
Im okay with that, as long as your ok with being hunted and killed on sight by the people you choose to impose your play style on. As long as there's no QQ later "why are they targeting me" (and we both know that happens in OOC) then im on board, I understand your premise. I wont be engaging in it but I have a better understanding now of why. Freeps do it too, ive seen it. It would be nice if 1v1's could be clean but I understand its a PvP zone so killing and dieing is part of the bargain.
Who are you and where the hell did you come from? Just kidding, but major props on figuring out a really good strat against melees. A spider that lets itself get hit is no real challenge these days, but you've figured out a way around that. Look forward to more fights and really don't look forward to them after you get buffed.
On a separate point since this thread has already started talking about it. Let's move the 1v1s back to CM. We had 1v1s all the time up there in the level 65 days. Communication wasn't too big of a deal. Tell a kinsmate in vent, or someone with dual accounts that you were looking for fights and the call could go out. I think this will solve a lot of problems and it just takes a bit more effort to get there. There used to be people up there all the time so it was worth checking CM even if you hadn't heard about fights.
There are some pretty negative consequences of spontaneous 1v1s that are leading to drama that can easily be avoided. I don't think that new players should be expected to know what a 1v1 circle looks like. I also don't think people should be able to use the circles a refuge from dying. I had a spider CC and slow me on the north side of the river so he could get to the 1v1 circle at Good TA. That's not right and I have to look like a 1v1 ganker because I chose not to let him get away with it.
Just tell people on the opposite side that you plan to go to CM, and work a quick check of CM into your circuit of the moors and we can completely eliminate any 1v1 related negativity.

I totally agree. CM is a good, out of the way area that allows everyone to play the way they want, when they want. If you choose to raid, you don't have to worry about running across any 1v1 circles. If you want to 1v1, there's one easy to remember place to go. I miss going up to CM to fight, honestly. I think I've only been up there once since ROI, and just by chance there was a reaver roaming up there (I was on my RK). Other than that one time, CM has been empty afaik.
I don't 1v1 on CM. Too many line of sight issues. I could care less about who breaks up what 1v1 honestly. I expect it at all times and in fact was really taken aback by the fact that so many people even participate in it here as on my old server (Meneldor) it's considered farming (fcing they called it). Those who break up the 1v1's when they are in traffic zones are going to do it just as easily on Cm when they feel they have grown bored of it. I've seen it time and time again. Personally, I prefer impromptu 1v1's from a solo player (Thornpaw, thank you) than an arranged one. If moving your 1v1's back to CM is the only answer, that's a pretty big bummer. I can't think of a worse place to have them than there.

No sport in it otherwise.
Also, this server was not a 1v1 server as haldabash says until just recently. Our identity that made us a draw is fading away because of these circles. 1v1 as a surprise is thrilling, sitting around watching and waiting feels too easy and it's really not that fun. Don't get me wrong, I can win 1v1's and I don't gank during them but some days 3-4 hours of boring fight clubbing is pushing it. That's just grinding.

This.
CM is such a small area as well -- AoEs can effect other ongoing 1v1ers. ...And I always seem to get my little wargbutt stuck in that little snowy nook that is impossible to get out of...
