when are they going to be fixed because i have been waiting for almost a year now to be able to play my character again and they still have not fixed transfers and i was told it would be done shortly and that was a long time ago so i was just wondering if anyone had any info on this because i would really like to play this game again now that im back from another game

Where are you trying to transfer from and to? Have you tried contacting account support?
I wasn't under the impression that transfers were broken. I understand that to do one requires quite a number of steps, each of which can't be done automatically but takes real human-time.
Also, some of the servers with the highest populations are not accepting transfers at all. Not ever, as far as I know.

Oh, you left and are trying to go back. Yeah, good luck with that. I don't think they've managed to do that successfully for anyone.

Not entirely true as I was recently able to transfer 3 of my characters and 3 of my wife's characters from SL to Elendilmir. It does take some special circumstances to get it done though.
But as for transferring back to the server you used to be on, like the OP was talking about, I would just give up on that happening any time soon, if ever.

I've tried a couple times now to transfer a character that's never been moved and the server I want to go to is accepting transfers. All they'll tell me is that for some unannounced technical reason it can't be done. They won't tell me why other than sometimes it just happens because of technical limitations.

That's an answer, though. They can't do it because something is, as you put it, borked. They couldn't tell you exactly WHAT is borked unless you were an experienced programmer, familiar with game software and in particular with the Turbine software, without which you wouldn't understand it. And if you did, they wouldn't tell you because it would be proprietary information.

I do not understand the problem. Your character is fully functional on the current server? You can log in and play anytime your want. Right? There is something about your current server that is really bothering you. Enough so that you do not want to log in???
It is a case of you did not like Firefoot. You decided to transfer to greener pastures. A different server. You do not like the server transferred to any better than Firefoot. Now you want to go back to your original server that you did not like.
Curiosity question - What makes you think your original server is any better now than when you left? What makes your current server bad enough that you want to leave it?
Note - I not trying to pull your chain here. Make you mad. I got the - Dumb look for free - I do not get it. I was hoping for some explanation of what drives customers to move multiple times - especially back to a server they felt - sucked enough to leave.

They cannot answer that here. The only place for answers is customer support. From reading people's experiences here for the past 4+ years, you're likely to be better off actually calling them on the phone.
Currently, yes, we cannot transfer your character back to a server your character has already been on. We currently do not have a fix for this, but we will update our premium services status sticky when we have more information.
