Thread: Exceptional Leather Bindings

Anyway to get them without finding a a Tailor to make them for you?

just curious, what are they needed for?
I increased my metalsmith to supreme tailor so i could make my own when i needed them, I thought the crafting changes removed all metalsmith recipes that needed bindings.

just checked my metalsmith, i see ancient armor plate needs bindings, only place I know to get them are from a tailor

Not completely. Some tailor components still require polished gems - Guards and Braces.

For Metal Smiths a number of the recipes call out for Plate components. Plates require bindings made by Tailors.

Turbine made it less dependent. I do not think there is any metal smith recipes left that require a forester, prospector, tailor, jeweler and metal smith. You only need forester, prospector, tailor and metal smith. Tailor requires forester, prospector, jeweler and tailor.

Unfortunately, they can only be crafted.

Yeah, it's either make a friend (or an alt) or use the Auction House, unfortunately.

The bindings and other stuff that requires forester products tend to be single-use or special guild recipes. This, of course, is the stuff you actually want to craft and equip, as opposed to just grind out for craft XP and then sell as vendor trash.

On the plus side, it does mean that you don't need to worry about getting a massive amount of leather just to level your metalsmithing. You just need to pick up a few pieces here and there to make yourself new gear, which is much easier.
