Does anyone know where SNS is tonight? I've heard conflicting reports between the usual spot and elsewhere....
Zhie ~ Librarian of Imladris ~ Children of Arda, Caun
Bainith Proudfoot ~ Poet of Michel Delving ~ Children of Arda, Recruiting Officer
Valarda ~ Maker and Chaser of Shiny Things ~ Children of Arda
Eledu ~ Troublemaker ~ Lord of Something Awesome
Just a reminder, the Saturday Night Social now has a permanent home in the Darkwood Marauders Kinhouse, which is located at 1 High Road, Corstead, in the Breeland Homesteads!

-Olorimien/Elf/Hunter/Laurelin-
For those who would still like to get together on this Saturday Night, Children of Arda and Rising Force (and friends) will be having a get together in the Duillond festival gardens (the cave where the shrew-stomping event happens, just up the hill of where the festival vendors hang out) that will be open to any and all passers-by.
It's a celebration for Ellonur who won the Extravagant Fashion title for the forums! Congratulations, you pretty boy, and we look forward to seeing you in all your finery in Rivendell. <3

I really looked forward ot the SNS and showing off Ell's pretty winning autumn outfit - but I still hope that lots of the usual RPers will be around this Saturday. Extravagant Ellonur will bring blackberry ale for all! \o/
Bah. I keep missing SNS. I have potentially next week, but if I miss that, I can't make it till April. I'd love to be at this. I hear from my kin that it's a blast.
If anyone is looking for RP this evening, there'll be a gathering of RPers at the usual time (9pm servertime) at the Bird and Baby in Michel Delving.
Take care, there are rumors that the inn is haunted by a ghost, though personally, I am certain that old Carlo stole one of Bilbo's fake basement ghosts to bring in more customers...
This Saturday, we will be at the Bird and Baby Inn in Michel Delving, Shire, at 9pm servertime once more.
All the rumors you might have heard about last week's Social are-- entirely true, for it seems quite impossible to keep a secret wedding secret when you are drunk in a Hobbit inn, so it turned into an improptu stag party for Bainith and Ellonur.
No weddings planned for this week, but... who knows what might happen at the Social?
This Saturday we will be at Thorin's Hall in the Ale Hall (Festival Arena) at 9pm servertime.
The Ale Hall is reached either from the Thorin's Hall Inn or directly from Thorin's Gates. The latter is via an entrance just at the mailbox next to Bogi Deepdelver right next to the big door leading into Thorin's Hall.
Everyone looking for RP is welcome, and I hear the dwarves brew a very fine beer.
Hear ye, Hear ye, Role Players on the Imladris Server!
We are pleased to announce we will be resuming the Saturday Night Socials (SNSs) starting Saturday March 31, 2012 at 7:00 PM EST. Please note the new (earlier) start time! The social will be held in the Mess Hall in Bree (just south of the Crafting Hall).
We appreciate everyone who provided helpful suggestions to make this a truly friendly, server-wide event for all RPers, from those just starting to those who have been RPing for years. We have a catalogue of great ideas for future Socials, but will be starting simply at first, just to get things rolling smoothly.
So, please come to the next Saturday Night Social schedued for Saturday March 31 at 7:00 PM in the Mess Hall in Bree (just south of the Crafting Hall). It's a warm friendly atmosphere with other RPers looking to exchange a good tale, just like yourself. We'll have drinks on hand, and merriment in our hearts. This is a warm and friendly event including players from different (or no) kins, all races and levels, with newcomers welcome. Come one, come all!
Do you have some tales you might wish to tell at the Social? If so we'd like to schedule a time and let everyone know that wishes to may gather round to hear the tales. Please let Officer Yeohir of the Marauders know in advance so we can plan a time for the telling of tales. Thank you!
We looking forward to seeing you there, new friends and old,
- Ningannel Zee, Leader, The Darkwood Marauders

The Saturday Night Social (SNS) for April 14, 2012 will be held at 7:00 PM ET in the Hall of Fire in The Last Homely House in Imladris (Rivendell).
Since many riddles have been told and unravelled within that special place, we invite attendees to come with riddles that others may seek to solve, and we will have a riddle session!
If you need transportation to Rivendell, please let me or any Marauder Officer know and we will try to make sure you get there. Thanks, and we look forward to seeing you at the Social.
What a great night! First time roleplaying such an event and it was a blast! Thanks you Ningannel and your kin for sponsoring it. I look forward to the next events riddles, but not the far too specific talk of potatoes lol. Great time with some great players indeed.

Glad to meet you, Jonaethan! The riddles were fun, too.

"Hear - See - Raise - Draw - Loose" -The Essence of a Hunter-
This SNS is going to be a special one. This Saturday, 4/28/12, marks the one year anniversary of the SNS! As such, the Social will be held at its original location of the Prancing Pony and I would like everyone to bring along some of their favorite stories of past socials or other any other interesting stories to tell by the fire just like the original SNS did. The social starts at 7pm ET and I hope to see everyone there, new faces and old, to kick off the new year of Saturday Night Socials!!!
Thank you all for your continued support!

Thanks again,
Yeohir Farothdin

Hello, everyone! This weeks social will be held at the Golden Perch (32.1S, 63.7W), in the Shire! 7 pm start time, like normal.
This week, we've got something special planned! We're going to have a fashion contest, but not your usual "Purtiest Person Wins" kind of fashion contest.
That's right, it's Beauty of the Beast! Come looking as awful as you can. Creativity, cross-dressing, and mismatching not only count, but are encouraged!
We'll have three awards: Most Colorful, Most Original, and Downright Worst. Each winner will receive a prize. Judging will begin at 8:30 sharp, so be ready and be tasteless!
It is recommended that all of those who wish to participate in the contest bring a change of clothes, so as not to spoil the, er, surprise when it comes time for judging.
Can't wait to see you all there!

*Watches Mayple run across the Shire shouting for Yucca*
Perfect.
Nothing better than a pair of mismatching hobbits lasses who think they're fashionistas.

Hello, hello, once again! We have something a little different planned this time, hopefully you will all love it!
The weather has been just splendid lately, so we thought it would be great to take advantage of that and have a picnic!
As usual, there will be music, dancing, singing, drinking, and general merrymaking, but make sure you bring your fishing poles along as well, as we will be holding a little Fishing Tournament, starting at 8:30. The winner will receive a prize!
As usual, the social starts at 7 pm, server time!
We will be meeting in Little Delving, just a short dash north of Michael Delving, in the Shire.
-Belcaelaraen/Leader of the Darkwood Marauders/Elf/Hunter/Imladris-
-Olorimien/Elf/Hunter/Laurelin-

Us Guards have got be of some use! XD
Start time: 7 pm, Server Time (I believe that's east coast...not sure...)
Location: The Hill above the Party Tree.
Le Details: Spring has sprung, and the festival is in full swing! Be ready for music, dancing, drinking, and general merry making! As usual, storytelling and poetry are more than welcome, as well as encouraged. If you have a good spring poem for us, please share!
Can't wait to see you all there!
Apologies for the late post, as well.
Cheers!

-Olorimien/Elf/Hunter/Laurelin-
Good day, and sorry for the delay! IMPORTANT NOTE:
This week, the social will be held at 8 Pm (eastern time). We had a few requests for a later time from those of our friends on the west coast. You are more than welcome to show up earlier, but know that the party don't start till I walk in social wont officially start until 8 pm.
Onwards! Time: 8 pm (est)
Location: Delossad (Tal Bruinen, in the Trollshaws, Co. 37.9S, 13.3W)
Le Details: The weather is lovely, the air is clear, and adventure awaits! So, this week, we are going to have an adventure. Journey down to the ruins of Delossad with us and explore a long forgotten and beautiful place. Be ready for music, dancing, drinking, and storytelling, particularly stories and songs of your greatest adventures! We'd love to hear about some of your favorite spots in Middle Earth, as well.
OTHER IMPORTANT NOTES:
Bel is not stupid. She knows that this place is a bit of a dash. That being said, we are more than willing to lend you a hand if you need help getting here. Hunters can help port, and there is a mustering horn somewhere in the area.
LOWER LEVELS SHOULD BE AWARE THAT THIS AREA IS IN THE SOUTHERN TROLLSHAWS. LEVEL RANGE IS APPROXIMATELY 35-45. IF YOU NEED AN ESCORT, DO NOT HESITATE TO ASK.
We want everyone to have the chance to get here and have fun. Level should never be a restriction.
We hope to see you all there! Again, if you need assistance in getting here, please feel free to send a tell!
Also, let it be known that if you ever have any questions regarding the social, please feel free to ask. We want to work with all of you to make this the most fun it can be.
-Belcaelaraen/Leader of the Darkwood Marauders/Elf/Hunter/Imladris-
-Olorimien/Elf/Hunter/Laurelin-
If you still wish to join us tonight, we are still at Delossad!
We have just move inside the ruins. You wont find us outside. We are inside in the very center.
-Belcaelaraen/Leader of the Darkwood Marauders/Elf/Hunter/Imladris-
-Olorimien/Elf/Hunter/Laurelin-
Location: The Lighthouse (Tinnudir Keep), Tinnudir, Evendim (Co. Approx: 12.0S, 68.0W).
We will be inside the main chamber.
Time: 8 PM EST, as it seemed to work really well last time.
Theme: Tall Tales!
This week, we shall be meeting inside the Lighthouse on Tinnudir. The place is dark, dusty, and only a little damp. Perfect for the telling of tales. Specifically, tales about your adventures! Tell us about some of your greatest achievements! We won't know how many Orcs you've actually killed...so stretch the truth a little!
Ports can be provided, as well as escorts. LOWER LEVELS SHOULD KNOW THAT THIS AREA IS LEVELS 30-40. PLEASE DO NOT HESITATE TO ASK FOR ASSISTANCE IN GETTING TO THE SOCIAL.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask! Can't wait to see you all there!
-Belcaelaraen/Leader of the Darkwood Marauders/Elf/Hunter/Imladris-
-Olorimien/Elf/Hunter/Laurelin-
Sorry for the late post, Bel was being lazy today!
Anyways, onwards!
Location: The Methel-Stage, in the Shire (I do not have coordinates on me, apologies!) Time: 8 PM EST (Like normal, this may become the new time.) Theme: Music Galore!
I think an outdoor location with a perfect little stage and chairs calls for some sort of performance, don't you? Bring some of your best tunes, make sure your instruments are in good order, and be ready to rock out!
If you need to borrow an instrument, don't hesitate to ask, a few of us usually have a few different ones on hand.
Lower Levels, fret not, you don't have to go out into the wilds and risk life and limb to join in on the fun this time!
Please note that there isn't really going to be a playing order, more of a step up when you want to. Please do not hog the stage, we'd like to give everyone a chance to play if they wish.
Thank you, and we hope to see you all there! If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask!
-Bel
-Belcaelaraen/Leader of the Darkwood Marauders/Elf/Hunter/Imladris-
-Olorimien/Elf/Hunter/Laurelin-
Location: The Market in Michael Delving, Shire (Co. approx. 34.0S, 75.0W)
Time: 8PM Est
Again, there isn't a real theme this time. However, we will be outdoors, and in a market, a good time to show your wares, bring that special someone, dance, sing, drink, and be merry!
We hope to see you all there!
-Belcaelaraen/Leader of the Darkwood Marauders/Elf/Hunter/Imladris-
-Olorimien/Elf/Hunter/Laurelin-
New to this merry activity! wonder when&where is the next one held? would be great if i should catch it in time. wanna get my D.R.A.G.O.N deed done asap(still got 1/2 to go tho)
Umm, you are not hoping to get that deed done at the Social, are you? Emote-spamming is the quickest way to get added to people's ignore-list at RP events...
Social Info:
Location: The Courtyard in Celondim [Coordinates approx. 29.4S, 92.7W] (I'm sorry, I don't know the proper name for this one...) Time: 8 pm EST
This is such a lovely location, and a perfect little pavilion for everyone to gather! We hope to see you all there!

OTHER STUFF:
I have a question for y'all.
So, I've been trying to vary the places we meet. I feel it keeps it lively, and interesting, and you can discover some neat places that way.
My question is, how far would you be willing to travel? If transportation, be it port, summon, escort, muster, ect were a given thing, meaning it would always be available for your use, what would you say to socials being held in places like Forochel, Evendim, Enedwaith, Misty Mountains, ect?
To clarify, I would always make sure that the place we will be won't have mobs suddenly popping up and saying hello, nor will lowbies have to go through fire and brimstone and then chill out in Hell for a little while before arriving at the social. We want everyone there in one piece.
Also, to go with this, how far would you be willing to run? For example, there is a super pretty glade on the other side of the lake from Tinnudir, and it would be perfect for a social. But, it is on the other side of the lake. Everyone would have to swim. No baddies, though!
But, yes. Thoughts? Comments? Questions? Blargh?

You are more than welcome to join us at the social!
However, if you continually spam us with D.R.A.G.O.N, you most likely will be either (a) asked to leave, or (b) added to folks ignore lists. Once is funny, twice moderately annoying, but any more than that is likely to make enemies and give people the wrong impression.

I know that I have sometimes arrived late or skipped totally if it doesn't make RP-sense to go to a certain place that SNS gets held. I can't imagine my pretty lil Bainith swimming a lake to run across a field to get to a gathering. But that's just me (it's not the time part, it's the how far to suspend reality part). There are some really, really pretty places in Middle-earth, but that doesn't mean they're all places to pitch a tent and have a party. [Of course, this is the view of someone in a heavy-RP kin; light to medium RP would probably be more likely to go for this.]

This weeks social info:
Location: Hengstacer Farm (The farm proper, not out in the middle of a field), in the Breelands.
Time: 8 PM EST
Seeing as we are on a horse farm, I think it is appropriate to say that this weeks theme is a Horse Show! Bring your best horses, show off your favorite goat, wear your favorite riding gear. There may even be a few competitions (such as Best in Show, a race, or riding tricks) and gold prizes! If things get really crazy, we can also see about having a parade of sorts.
Make sure your mounts are brushed and your shirts are ironed. We hope to see you all there!
-------------------
Don't forget!
The Children of Arda are hosting the (most fabulous) Marvelous Masquerade! The party begins at 6 pm (server time)! There's a costume contest, and, like all good balls, lots of dancing! For more informations, make a clicky here: http://forums.lotro.com/showthread.p...6-8pm-RP-Event
Cheers!

The social this week (July 21) will be held on the Back Porch of the Last Homely House (I believe the entrance is on the second floor: Go to the very back of the building, and you will see the door.)
We will be meeting at 8 pm, EST, like normal.
Be sure to bring your best songs, beer, wine, and spirits, as well as friends, and good cheer!
Hope you can make it!
If you need assistance getting to the social, just ask your friendly neighborhood marauder.

SNS Details!
Location: The Greenhouse at Thorins Hall (the door near the skirmish camp) Coordinates approximately 13.8S, 103.0W.
Time: 8 Pm EST
Theme: The Farmers Fair is in full swing, so we though we should have our own little fair!
Details: While we may not be in the Shire, that doesn't mean we can't participate in the fun. We thought the location of the real fair was a bit...crowded, and being as it is unpleasant to have to shout over people, we chose a quieter location. Come dressed however you please, and make sure to bring goods for trading, or stories, if those are your wares. As usual, song, drink, and dance will be in plentiful supply.
We hope to see you there! Thank you!
