Thread: Strength of the smith part II

For some reasons i am unable to get the ruined elven blade. i got the rest of the tools...but i cant get it. i killed about 50 half-orcs already. I have also found out that i dont have the guide for the quest! Can somebody please help me!!

This quest was removed as part of the Update 2 content changes. Along with all the other crafting promotion quests. I am surprised it is still in your quest log.

There is a completely different mechanism. There are some trainer quests for the beginning crafter. All the old superior facility quests have been deleted. There is a new quest for that.

I do not believe you can do it. You go to the NPC it will not offer it to you. If you try get the drop. You can not get it. If you had the drop, you can not turn in the quest. I believe the only function you can perform is cancel quest.

IMHO - Turbine has bug. The quest should have been auto canceled on you when the update hit.

My suggestion is to go the quest giver. Cancel the quest. I expect that you will find that the NPC has no quest for you. Normally you would get a five minute cooldown timer ring.

i know....but i dosent allow me to cancel quest!!!

I've been having the same problem and thanks for clearing this part up for me by the way. Been occasionally killing half-orcs for the past few weeks trying to find that blade. But i'm just wondering how you become a master journeyman weaponsmith now? Because i have no golden anvil beside the journeyman crafting tier and I can't make any of the critical weapons. I am just wondering is there another way to become a master journeyman now that the Strength of the Smith part II is gone.

In order for the master portion of a tier to open, all previous tiers master levels must be completed. So you would have to have the Apprentice tier completed before the Journeyman master portion opens. If that's not your issue, try talking to a novice weaponsmith to see if there is an available quest for you.

I have a couple toons that have dropped the old advancement quests, but that does not remove the recepie in my crafting panel, maybe this is what's happened?

A bit annoying always having that "Quest" header in the list of recepies, but it's not really in the way or anything...
