Thread: Green Hill Music Society

Thanks to all who came to our show last night in Michel Delving. Aside from members of a kinship (the "Gunk Squad" or some such--must be fishermen) deciding that the beer garden at the Bird was the place to do some sort of combat practice in the middle of the show, it seems folks enjoyed our music!
We play every Tuesday at the Bird, at 10PM US Eastern Time. We also welcome any and all musicians who would like to play their own or other's music with a group. We're not tied to any particular kin, and we welcome experienced music players or folks just starting out! Just drop me a note in game to get more info.

I would like to verify what Falibrand said here. As a new player on Landroval I wanted to try out the music system. I saw a note somewhere that the Green Hill Music Society accpeted those who wished to learn about playing music in a group so I showed up at practice one day, after reviewing their website where I found great instructions on how to go about playing in a band. I was welcomed immediately. I made a mistake now and then, but everyone was very understanding (since most of them had done the same at one point or another). The rest is history. I have been a member of the band for several months now and find our practices and concerts to be a really fun time shared with a fine bunch of people.

As winter takes a stronger hold, what better time to turn to the blues! We'll be doing some new blues music with a sprinkling of ballads, and some nice classic rhythm and blues--including a new version of our favorite tune, "Juke"! Come and join us! 10PM Server Time (US Eastern) at the Bird and Baby in Michel Delving!

I was curious: Is this event was still going strong on Tuesdays?

The Green Hill Music Society still performs every Tuesday in Michel Delving. The band may be a bit small tonight due to it being Valentine's Day.

:O I am both excited and intrigued by this 'Fat Hobbit.' Hopefully class/work is light enough next week so I can let Sparkleigh come out to see!

Tonight, in tribute to the late Earl Scruggs, GHMS will be featuring the music of Flatt & Scruggs, as well as many other new and old favorite bluegrass tunes. Put on your dancing shoes and bring your ale--this is a show not to miss!!!

Thanks all of you who've been comin' to our concerts! Our folk need some time off now to get ready for Rohan an' catch up on their trainin', so we'll be takin' a few Tuesday's off. We'll be resumin' our regular concert schedule on Tuesday, October 23rd.
'tween now an' then, GHMS members will be helpin' organize an' play at a "Open Musickin' Stick" session in our normal 10PM Bywater Time slot at th' Bird. Mebbe you can convince one of 'em to teach you a new instrument!

The long wait is over! The Green Hill Music Society resumes its weekly Tuesday night concerts this week, 10/23, at 10PM Bywater Time at the Bird. We'll have some new tunes for you, so bring your dancin' shoes an' enjoy!
Also, watch for our Hallowe'en show next Tuesday night, th' 30th! Wear a hat--folks may be wantin' brains I understand...

Please join us for our final appearance of the year at our Yule Concert! 10PM Server time tongiht (Tuesday, 12/18) outside the Bird & Baby!
We'll be taking off for the holidays, then back for a special New Year's Gala on Tuesday, January 8th!

Due to the extended server downtime, I'm reluctantly cancelling the concert tonight. The players won't have enough time to get patched and in game and have parts assigned.

Thanks to everyone who turned out last week for our New Year's Gala concert! We'll be taking a few weeks off as we prepare for our spring concert season, starting with Fat Hobbit on February 12th!
